Well, we are! Our skin thins out and then they put us on things like Aspirin to thin out our blood. The slightest scratch or scrape turns into a bloodletting.
Changed a headlight in my wife's car Thursday afternoon. Watched a YouTube video to see how "easy" it would be. The first thing the guys said was "I'm changing the passenger side first because it's the easiest to get do." And, of course, the one I needed to change was on the driver's side!
It wasn't all that difficult, other than being in an extremely tight space. Lots of other things you had to reach through and around. Looked like I had surgery with all the blood dripping on the garage floor! My knuckles look like I was in a bar fight!
A little of that "New Skin" super glue stuff for cuts and I was all fixed up. Still have a fist that is bruised looking. Sheesh. Can't do anything without looking like I've been beat up, cut up and tossed in the gutter!!!!
Gettin' old ain't for sissies!!!!!

I sure can relate to that thin-skinned stuff, 2old. I'm on a blood thinner, too, and getting on in years. It seems I always have nicks or scrapes somewhere on my fingers and hands, just from cooking and doing normal household chores. I regularly have cracked skin on one or other of my knuckles, and those danged finger cuts can be sooooo sore!

Looked like I had surgery with all the blood dripping on the garage floor! My knuckles look like I was in a bar fight! The thin skin thing makes me crazy, if I do any kind of work at all I'm full of nasty looking skin wounds on both arms between my elbows to my knuckles. Over the years I've gotten off of any/all meds that would contribute to the thin skin bloody mess syndrome. I slather on moisturizing creme like it was going out of style, helps but is not a 100% cure.

Need to take down outside Christmas lights and change out a flush valve in one of our toilets. By the time I go up and down a ladder a few times, get a large star hung back in the garage for next year, and play contortionist with a toilet... everything I own will hurt. What doesn't hurt will be bruised or patched up with band aids or the super glue stuff. Ain't gettin' old fun???
