First off I get 10 hrs of restorative sleep each night. I do not diet and don't deprive myself of anything I want, but have changed a lot of what I put in my mouth. There is a LOT I no longer want to consume. www.healthline.com/nutrition/sleep-and-weight-lossSleep and Weight Loss www.webmd.com/diet/sleep-and-weight-loss#1My sleep routine consists of starting to prepare my body for sleep abouit 1 to 1.5 hrs before I hit the pillow. I hit the pillow at about 11:15PM. 1/2mg Melatonin 500mg Inositol/Choline Combo usually, often only Inositol 50mg B6 (P5P form) 500mg L Tryptophan 1 Calms' Forte homeopathic tablet Then about 3AM or so, take another Calms Forte' usually, not always. And since using the HGH gel, sleep is even more profoundly deep and healing. The above of course can be adjusted accordingly for one's body make up. I hear SO MANY talk about their poor sleep and insomnia issues.

And a reminder on how valuable good deep sleep is to keep dementia issues from our lives.
Millions live in poor limited sleep and losing growth hormone more as we restore growth hormone with better deep sleep.

I read those articles but the caveat is poor sleeps adds to weight gain. Good sleep prevents it.
Cardio work, good diet, and daily exercise is still the recommended thing. Social interaction along with exercise is even better. -- Just my opinion. It keeps the mind working as well as the body.
For a good night's sleep, I usually include daily walks/hikes. Working out with friends, and doing physical labor. When 8:30 rolls around I hit the pillow and read for about 5 minutes. In the winter I sleep up to 10 hrs a night. In the summer ...about 6 to 8.
Fresh air does it for me all of the time.

I danced and went to gyms all my years into my 60's, but never could do the aggressive cardio work that I see so many doing and the marathoners running their bodies to the ground. All of what I've done COULD HAVE been a major contribution to the advanced OA I live with today. I do great 30-40 minute stretching stuff before I leave my bedroom, every day to keep what I have alive and moving and NO knee surgeries wanted here.

I had to say this:: When you sleep you don’t eat! Nkat Of course you don't but some who don't sleep well are up during the night going to eat something...I see those comments from enough people. And then there is a intermittent fasting group, to me my intermittent fasting is the 12 some hrs that I eat nothing when I get to sleep and when I walk into my kitchen the next morning.

If I don't sleep enough, I want to eat more, I get tired faster. Also, yes, if I sleep, I don't eat, and that helps a lot, too. But I have trouble sleeping because of stress all the time, I don't even know what to do.
