I would just like to be like any other couple without the stares mocking or hostility in Taipei... it nice to just “be myself” we held hands discreet kiss and act like any other couple and no one batted eye... but if I do same here people shun you whisper giggle or post flyers about Christian values(that happened in our neighborhood!!) people scared of things they no understand There is a beautiful town in gorgeous West Yorkshire in England that is referred to as the 'Lesbian capitol of the UK' because a very high percentage of the population are lesbians (some gay men, but majority women). The population is 4,500. I visited there because my husband's cousin lived there with her partner. The town, of course, also leans left politically. Hebden BridgeWould be nice to visit one day!  |

I'll never understand that attitude and sorry you can't feel free to be yourselves.  I'm sure there are some places in the US where this doesn't happen, but you two are stuck in DC with your jobs. I could sell practice no a problem but Rebecca is more or less tied to her position with the government Yes, I knew Rebecca couldn't do anything about her job. Stuck in DC. |

It is such a charming town as well. Old stone buildings, a canal, no tacky chain restaurants, lots of artists. Many tourist visit there. And it totally surrounded by gorgeous mountains and scenery. Such a nice community and of course, everybody knows everybody else. You'd love it. And you can hold hands!  |

Lots of good restaurants, coffee bars, pubs, theatre, art etc. I've been in summer when it was quite hectic with tourists. But I'm sure it's quiet off season. It's a very walkable town. |

Today I get phone solicitor who was with some sort of Christian group she ask me if I support President Trump I said not a chance she ask if I patriotic citizen I say of course that is why I can’t support Russian puppet dictator in the White House.... she hung up!!  |
