My service dog tags say's " non denominational " Screw organized religion. I am not a none. My faith is better than theirs anyways. I don't listen to hate, nor will I tolerate it coming from a " man of God "

www.cnn.com/2019/04/13/us/no-religion-largest-group-first-time-usa-trnd/index.html"(CNN)For the first time "No Religion" has topped a survey of Americans' religious identity, according to a new analysis by a political scientist. The non-religious edged out Catholics and evangelicals in the long-running General Social Survey.
Ryan Burge, a political scientist at Eastern Illinois University and a Baptist pastor, found that 23.1% of Americans now claim no religion."
"Religious nones," as they are called by researchers, are a diverse group made up of atheists, agnostics, the spiritual, and those who are no specific organized religion in particular. A rejection of organized religion is the common thread they share.
"It is the first time we have seen this. The same questions have been asked for 44 years," Burge told CNN.
The meteoric rise of religious nones began in the early 1990s and has grown 266% since 1991, he said.
Burge estimates that 'No Religion' will be the largest group outright in four to six years. "

I'm a recovered Catholic (from 50 years ago). However, I really enjoy the catholic church we go to in Thailand. Husband is still catholic and I'm fine with that. The first year we wintered in Thaland I dropped husband off at church and went to the mall where he met me later. Then I started going and we've made some expat friends and I really just enjoy the choir (with keyboard and guitar) and hanging around after mass having snacks and chatting with all the other tourists who come.
I'm attracted to paganism and buddhism but wouldn't call myself pagan or buddhist.

Enjoying the music and people is a good reason to attend a church. I think that church is a social outlet for many people. My brother goes to Mass on Sunday because of the church atmosphere and the friendly people. I couldn't do that for any reason.

My brother goes to Mass on Sunday because of the church atmosphere and the friendly people. I couldn't do that for any reason. This church is complete different from the others I have agreed to go with husband and sister - those are boring. The congregation is so diverse and probably 1/3 of its tourists who are just visiting - many are French. The choir is Filipino and they are very upbeat and talented. I even started to sing along with a couple of the songs I really like. After mass there are tables full of snacks and everybody stands around chatting and we've often heard a Scottish accent so naturally talk to them.
We have to take our shoes off to go into the church, and most people are very casually dressed. I normally wear capris and one of my nicer tops.
