If Giuliani is guilty he should be fined but $142 million is asinine. That shows how far out of touch some Judges are. The Judge didn't set the amount...the Jurors did! Rudy had trial by jury, remember?!

There you go again with your hate of Republicans when thanks to them we have one party that knows what fiscal responsibility is. But you live in CA so I understand. Again...So much for a person having the ability to question what a election worker was doing. Sounds like what went on in 1930's Germany. If Giuliani is guilty he should be fined but $142 million is asinine. That shows how far out of touch some Judges are. Hahaha oldmontana! There you go again with the "your hate of Republicans" whine, followed up with the Fairytale about fiscal responsibility. I know you don't listen to your own party, if you did you'd be disgusted and change your voter registration, like I did 20 years ago. I actually feel sorry for Republicans, having to go around with blinders on to avoid seeing the real world.
But, your repeated reference to 1930's Germany is telling, being that the GOP will likely have as their presidential candidate the person who most resembles the real dictator of 1930's Germany....

They may "understand" it (which I doubt), but they certainly don't practice it Their idea of "fiscal responsibility" is what really responsible people label greed and self interest. By the way I don't live in California.

Their idea of "fiscal responsibility" is what really responsible people label greed and self interest. oldmontana 's reference to "fiscal responsibility" is when the Republican dominated legislature gives the wealthy trillons of $$ in tax cuts which drive up the national debt. But not to worry, the Democrats will be blamed for the debt later on, when they have to
clean up the fiscal mess the GOP left behind. Oh yes, the $15 minimum wage is killing the economy, I guess the Repubs would rather have the working poor go to prison rather that try to make an honest buck...

The Republicans were the party of fiscal responsibility, before the cut tax and bankrupt the country, got going, now the Democrats are the only responsible, party there is.

I used to think that too, before I realized that GOP fiscal responsibility meant keeping the Public's money in the hands of the wealthy, and out of the hands of the working class.

Yes, but, they were not a danger to the country, and economy, like they are now, if the US goes bust giving the rich tax cuts.

OMG $142 million because Giuliani was a Trump supporter! I say that if it was a "normal" person the settlement would be around $10,000 each.

Giuliani wasn't just a trump "supporter" - he was an active participant in all the chicanery that fueled their attempts to override the voter's choice by any means possible

To me that is asinine and it shows what a jury with a political view can do. It's not right!

Firms in the business were hired to do an analysis of the costs to run advertising campaigns, social media campaigns, etc. to clear their names. Those numbers were used for the jury to assess actual damages. Punitive damages were a subjective number based on the threats to their lives, having to move out of their homes and go into hiding, ostracized by family and friends, etc. The younger lady applied for a job outside the election clerk career. Went in for her first interview. The HR person pulled up her name and found the accusations against her. Interviewer turned his laptop towards her and told her they would be fools to hire someone who had purposely denied people their voting rights.
The $148 million is a drop in the bucket for what these ladies are owed due to Giuliani's very public slander!!!!

Yes, the party of tax and spend, thanks to that party, the Democrat party the average family is having to spend about $9,000.00 more a year for their basic needs. Then there is Biden's border mess. Even thinking Democrats see what he has not done there. Please wake up and see what your party is doing to our country. If you care which I doubt.
