How do you celebrate Christmas ?
I always spend the day with my daughter and her partner, exchanging gifts, eating a roast turkey dinner with all the trimmings then generally relaxing and enjoying each other’s company, celebrating the fact we’ve come through another year together and looking forward to the new one
How about you ?

Quietly. We usually go for a hike up the mountain during the day, enjoying the crisp cool air and checking out the wildlife. Play in the snow. Build a snow person, go ice skating, etc. Later in the day, a prime rib dinner with my husband, then watch some movies.

As usual, I will decorate my living room and dining area to create a festive mood. Christmas Day, my Son and Grandson will visit, join me for a Christmas meal that I've prepared, exchange gifts, and spend time together into the evening.

Christmas Eve dh and I go to dd’s house with the rest of our tiny family for gifts and dinner. We have ham, turkey breast, rigatoni and fresh kolbossi plus sides. We watch midnight mass with the Pope after some classic Christmas movies. Christmas Day dh and I would go a movie and out for Chinese. For the past few years dd and her family have gone with us. I kind of look forward to Chinese after all the richness of the Christmas Eve food.

We let the daughter tell us where to be when. We let them make their plans with in-laws and we will work around it. Pretty much gone away from any gifting. Youngest grandchild is going on 17. Usually have some sort of gift exchange game with $10 limit, just to have some fun.

We live out in the boonies. Since we still have a small farm and usually no one visits... I wait until hubby is asleep and then I go out and talk with my mules and the goat and give them treats.
I celebrate with a walk or a hike. Simple pleasures.
My grands are too far away for me to visit and hubby is my full time job for giving care.

I'm a bah-humbug. I'd be perfectly happy going to sleep the day before Thanksgiving and wake up New Years Day. I'll enjoy the day with a good book and phone calls. i hope those who enjoy it are able to do so to the fullest.

I'm a bah-humbug person too. I haven't always been this way but life stuff and other people can completely change a person.
Louie, I also enjoy talking with my cats and the wildlife outside. They never interrupt me and always agree with me. Most of the time. Lol.
