Trump's request for a special master is just a delay. Trump is the master of the legal delay. How is the master going to be picked, and who would make both sides happy, years latter someone could get picked? What is the point, if what is in the documents ( aka, something incriminating) are not being use against him, it is what the documents are, and that they are illegal for him to have.

Justice was dealt a setback when Judge Aileen Cannon, a Trump appointee, agreed to his request that a special master be appointed. I hope that she is conscious of the fact that
the whole world is watching.

Justice was dealt a setback when Judge Aileen Cannon, a Trump appointee, agreed to his request that a special master be appointed. I hope that she is conscious of the fact that
the whole world is watching. She doesn't care. She's a pawn with a debt to repay. It would seem, since she was appointed by Trump, she would recuse herself from this case...but she has a debt to repay. When the mob does you a "favor," should you be called upon, you probably ought to pay up if you know what's good for you. I don't know...maybe she actually believes her decision was correct, but in light of what I've seen from top legal experts, her decision is bonkers.

DOJ filed an appeal, yesterday, of her motion to shut down the investigation until an arbitrator could be appointed. Her motion was totally out of line, but she is on a short leash held by the Federalist Society. She is doing as directed, not doing what justice... and the safety of our Country... demands.
She has some difficult decisions to make. DOJ has given her an "out" that could save significant embarrassment for her. All she has to do is to allow DOJ to continue their investigation into the highly sensitive documents found at MAL. Honestly, I doubt she will take the high road. She will bull up and see her ruling appealed. That appeal will make her a laughing stock of the judicial world, ruining her career and see her becoming an example taught in law school courses for decades to come.
One week from today... or before... we will know if she is handcuffed to tfg by her handlers or if she has some sense of how bad her decision was and how standing her ground will damage her for life.

The DOJ didn't file an appeal, yet.
They asked the judge to restore their access to classified material seized from Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence, saying their ongoing criminal probe needs to determine if there are sensitive government papers that have not been found yet, and signaling that they plan to appeal the issue to a higher court in the interest of national security, if she doesn't.

TFG. I've never heard that but I like it very much because I don't even like to type tfg's name.
Thanks!
