The answer is: Rich people who have paid for political campaigns of politicians who have removed or diluted funds for education, infrastructure, healthcare, etc. in order to reduce their tax burden, regardless of how their actions affect the rest of us. It's past time for our government to represent average citizens instead of only those who can afford to buy politicians.
