Well oldmontana , you posted a nice clean quote of my opening in the OP. You made no comment, so am I to believe that you simply agree to the accuracy of what's said? Its not true. oldmontana, What is not true? If your are trying to deny that the Republicans are calling for the FBI to be defunded, I have some bad news for you: it is a matter of public record. Go to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's Twitter account and read for yourself.

No sense in talking sense to the current GOP which has no common sense. A majority of the Republican Party would give up democracy, freedoms, healthcare, voting rights... the list is long... to pay homage to a corrupt, narcissistic wannabe dictator. GOP politicians are scared stiff they will be caught saying something that might enrage the cult leader. The GOP has won many elections with their "support the Blue" slogan. Sadly, that has changed. The GOP members of Congress voted against additional funding of law enforcement simply because the bill gave credence to their Democratic counterparts. The traitorous GOP members of Congress... Cruz, Hawley, Goetz, etc... are calling for totally doing away with the FBI. Why? Because the FBI dared show up at Mar-a-Lago with a search warrant. It's the FBI's fault their cult leader was caught with stolen sensitive documents... not the fault of the one who stole them. It's the DOJ's fault they are investigating their hero for espionage... not the fault of the one who may have sold out our intelligence agents across the globe. Democracy simply will not survive if this traitorous GOP wins big in November. We MUST VOTE BLUE!!!! A majority of the Republican Party would give up democracy, freedoms, healthcare, voting rights. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another lie. Well, let's start with taking away a woman's right to choose. They treat women as if they're state-owned property. Republicans have never voted for healthcare and many of them are threatening to cut or abolish Social Security and Medicare. Voting rights? Republicans falsely refer to protecting election integrity when they have reduced the number of polling locations and hours of operation in areas likely to lean Democratic. They don't do those things in areas they're likely to win. That says nothing of the absurd gerrymandering in Red controlled states. Protect election integrity my a$$. Republicans sent false electors to Washington to try to overturn a legitimate election. Now the false electors face charges. Arizona spent millions to a fly-by-night company (Cyber Ninjas) to find voter fraud. There was no fraud, but Arizonans are out millions of dollars. ( www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/mark-brnovich-arizona-dead-voter-fraud-bogus-1391490/) I wonder how much Cyber Ninjas, or those directly or indirectly involved with the company contributed to Republican political campaigns in Arizona. If there's any voter fraud, it's on the part of the Republicans. Not a single Republican complained about all the unfairness their party has dumped on American voters. That makes them all accomplices. So, you're right when you say a majority of the Republican party would give up democracy, freedoms, healthcare, and voting rights is a lie. It's the entire Republican party.

Anybody on here old enough, besides me, to remember something called Three Monkeys?
See no evil Hear no evil Speak no evil
When I was a child my Mom had a Three Monkeys nick knack. One had his paws over his eyes. One had her paws over her ears. One had her paws over her mouth.
That's how many Republicans choose to see their party. I believe they know better. They won't, or can't, acknowledge what they see or hear coming from their politicians.
However, they have no problem pointing out the shortcomings of others. None at all.
Well said, Notbob and Tnthomas. Very well said.

O.K., here is a screenshot of the article that a link was provided for ( businessinsider.com):
Notice the plural form of Republican...complete with an "s" at the end. The two idiots in the photo are Republicans- Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and Paul Gosar. They were among several Republican lawmakers calling for the FBI to be destroyed or defunded
