Let the religious wars begin?
five religions sued the state of Florida on Monday over a new law criminalizing most abortions in the state after 15 weeks of pregnancy, saying the ban violates their religious freedom rights.
claim the state's ban curtails the clergy members' ability to counsel congregants about abortion in accordance with their faiths, since Florida law prohibits counseling or encouraging a crime.

Ugh. Religion is nothing more than a belief system which I do not believe. Keep your religion out of politics, please.
Anyone looking for a repeat of the crusades? I'm not. I won't even put my hand on a Bible in a courtroom and swear to tell the truth. You're just going to have to believe I'm not lying.

Yep, it's going to be a mess if states and the US high court keep pushing one religion, over others, or no religion.
The founding Fathers, clearly did not wish the US to have a government religion, it is an attack on religious freedom!

I just think they are reaching for straws trying to get this ban on abortion overturned.

Religion is a belief. Not a political policy. It's something you believe. Something I don't believe. So, as a non believer as well as a citizen of the US, your beliefs, your personal beliefs, don't have a damn thing to do with the laws or policies of the USA.
Politics and religion make terrible and deadly bed fellows. Keep them separated for God's sake. A male Creator who was created by men of course. Shocking right? Lol.
Look at countries where religion and politics are united. If you're a man you will probably be ok. If you are "only" a girl or a woman, the person whose body creates human life, not that okay. Not at all. A second class citizen. A person who needs to practically keep her whole body covered, as if that does anything but perhaps make men lust after her even more.
Imagine no religion. I can. I was brought up Catholic. Became a born again Christian in my 20's and left the Catholic church to join a Baptist church. Left that one too. No religion works best for me.
To each her own. ;)

It is not a ban on anything except a woman's right to do what she wants or needs to do with her own body. Her body. Not yours.
She is not an easy bake oven. She is a person, a human being. How about we make a vasectomy the law for all boys and men in the US? They are half responsible for the pregnancy. Fair is fair.
They would need written permission from their partner to reverse it, get councilling, etc.
Can you see the signs? His body, his choice. Yeah, neither can I.
Call me paranoid but everytime this issue makes its way into the spotlight I can't help but wonder what is really going on this time.
What is happening to make us turn on each other, to stay focused on a women's right to choose again, to be at each others throats and focused on our differences, to keep us divided and angry at each other, and unaware of what might be happening while we are distracted.
Just wondering.

Religious extremist, are the people driven to take away women's rights. No one else, so Religion is in this mess up to their eyebrows. Real conservatives do not want Government running their lives, at all.

I'm so weary of religious people trying to shove their beliefs on the rest of us. Hello? I do NOT believe in your God or your religion. I am a citizen of the United States and I do not belong to any organized religion. Even if I did it would probably not be the same as yours.
This is the kind of stuff our Founding Fathers were concerned about. It's why they insisted on keeping religion out of politics. I do not have to believe in your religion. I do not have to believe in any religion. I am a citizen of the US, I have no religion, and I am still a United States citizen. So there. Take that. Lol. ;)
