I am sick and tired of all these ad's created to pull at your heartstrings and your wallet. I'm especially annoyed with the ones about animals.
I have no idea how much it cost to have an ad on tv over and over and over again. Dogs tied outside in the snow and wind with no shelter. A polar bear trying to keep her little cubs warm.
Here's a thought. If these organizations really do care about the animals, how about they spend the money on helping the animals instead of spending so much money on standing there and taking videos just to get us to send them more money? And more money?
I already know the answer. I also know this is just a rant. Thank you for letting me vent and especially thanks for being here!

You mean you're not gonna send them your $19 a month to get a "free" t-shirt and whatnot?!
'Tis the season, my friend, for ads like the one your describing.

SPCA's CEO rakes in $750,000/year. The Humane Society of the US CEO makes over $300,000/year.
PETA's CEO makes a little over $30,000/year.
Quite a difference!

Quite a difference for sure. I believe all these groups are for educational purposes only. Which, I believe they all do a fairly good job. No shelters though.
I think PETA might be the only one that might have a shelter and I believe it's a kill shelter. So much for the shelter word.
I'd like to see Veterinarians offer free spay and neuter days. That could eliminate some unwanted animals. Hey, it's a start.
But hey, I'd also like to see world peace.
