Sometimes police will escort the procession, by car or by motorcycle.
Even if it's not in any law, I think it is common courtesy to all the procession to stay together.
Now that you mention it, Ruby, I think there are less processions and more services at the gravesites.

I don't know if it is a law here or not, but normally people do yield to a funeral procession and of course you must yield to a procession being led through an intersection by a police officer.
