Surely he cannot get away with this? Will his followers finally wake up to the con man? Sure he will, get away with it. The POT (party of trump) don't have the intestinal fortitude to do anything about it. His followers didn't care about the Hollywood tapes, they aren't going to care about this either. How anyone can support trump to be president for the next 4 years is beyond me.

Trump acknowledged the dangers of the coronavirus pandemic in a February interview with Woodward and acknowledged his public downplaying of the threat in a March interview, according to an account of Woodward's new book. "I wanted to always play it down. I don't want to create a panic," Trump said in a March 19 call with Woodward, according to an audio clip posted on The Washington Post's website. The newspaper obtained a copy of the book, "Rage," which is scheduled to be released next week. Trump was briefed about the virus in January, according to Woodward. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What Trump said at the time was right.

Panic? How about creating a serious, honest news release? Information we could have used would have prevented millions of infections and thousands of deaths. Trump doesn't think we're smart enough to do the right thing. Instead, he denigrated the science, and his lemmings, whether elected officials or private citizens, kissed his headquarters and ignored the common sense, scientific approach. He and they are responsible for our current situation. There is no Republican worthy of reelection. Not one. Once again, Democrats will have to step in and repair the damage Republicans have done. How do republicans continue to win elections?

Perhaps, but what did he actually do to prevent the spread of the virus? In your answer don't forget that other countries have also had experience of this pandemic, with various success from different approaches. What did your man do ?

What Trump said and did was wrong in so many ways.
Trump lying about the pandemic, not wearing a mask and going against the scientist and expert's advice directly caused many many deaths. His base followed him right along his deadly path. All the political rallies, motorcycle rallies and etc.
He didn't want to start a panic that would cause a stock market collapse, that would do him in for sure with the election....you can be sure he had no concerns for American citizens.

you can be sure he had no concerns for American citizens. Of course not. He only cares about his own best interests. The problem is, he can only think short term. If he took the necessary steps then, we would be in great shape today. Trump didn't want the states to shut down and when they did, he wanted everything back up by Easter. Trump has no vision past the end of his nose.

When I heard this on the news last night I was livid and I was in tears. I was ready to explode! Lots of swearing on Twitter and a bit on FB. If this bast*rd had told the public what he knew on Feb 7th the public would have taken it seriously, and the store my son worked for would likely have taken precautions and made the staff wear masks, etc. Instead they did not take precautions until after 6 people in the store caught it and my son died.
Trump (and Woodward as an accessory) should be charged with murder. Woodward could have released these tapes in Feb/March instead of sitting on them until now when he can makes tons of $$$ on his F*cking book.
People are suggesting class action suits, but that doesn't bring back those we lost. My granddaughters still don't have a dad.

I am so sorry, Annie. Your loss is a tragedy that I cannot begin to imagine. You have every right to be incandescent with anger.

It should have been prevented. It's not like he had heart attack or a stroke or cancer. It's something a mask could have prevented.

How anyone can support trump to be president for the next 4 years is beyond me. He will get away with any and everything till he's out of office when he can actually be charged. I'm so past thinking there's anything his followers won't excuse, even if he killed one of there own, some of them would find a way to excuse it. It will always be the democrats, to them who are creating every wrong, as often some of them even blame dems for creating the virus to win political favor. Things like what this veteran says he doesn't believe Trump spoke against Vets is, partly what I mean how people truly see nothing wrong with Trump or don't believe much of anything spoken out against him. I feel for the vet and his anger for what he feels is a ploy be Dems, but, he too appears to be of the mindset, Trump does no wrong. The Dems are wrong for misusing his image, but, I'm just posting to show why some excuse Trump, no matter what. The article really made me sad on several levels. He shouldn't be used but just as bad, he has the mindset about the President as one who does no real wrong as far as vets are concerned. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From the article: "Mr Henline is seeking to have the posts taken down as he believes people are wrongly using his image to further a political agenda that the accusations against the president are false. “I really believe the president didn't say this," he said. "There’s been anonymous sources and other sources in the room that aren’t necessarily friends with the president or believe in his ways, but they're still not gonna slam him and make up this rumor and keep it spreading. And so with that said, I don't think he really said this." One of the images circulating appears to show Mr Henline with a banner reading, “Trump says he’s a ‘loser.’ I say he’s a hero! What do you say?" Mr Henline, a motivational speaker and a comedian, said he was quickly made aware of the posts circulating on social media and quickly took to Instragram to condemn the use of his person image insisting users “stop using me for your propaganda." While Mr Henline said that he was successful in getting some of the posts taken down, he said that more have been published in their place." news.yahoo.com/injured-army-veteran-pushes-back-175038146.html

This story is breaking today. Surely he cannot get away with this? Will his followers finally wake up to the con man? Short answer: No. Long answer: No. Trump's alt-right base and media universe won't even acknowledge this truth, just as they dismiss any of the many ugly truths about Trump that have come to light.
The sheeples that do acknowledge what Trump did will ignore the obvious wrong doing and simply say, "What Trump said at the time was right."
These are the same people that absolutely lost control of their bowel movements when First Lady Michelle Obama wore a sleeveless dress...and when President Obama wore a tan suit.
Opinion
I think that it is time for another Great Flood, so many people have gone wicked and out of their minds. A meteor would do the "cleansing" as well.
