Per Goldberg, Trump also requested amputees not be included in plans for a military parade because, in his words, “nobody wants to see that.”
Duckworth, an Iraq War veteran who lost both her legs after her helicopter was hit by a grenade, responded to Trump’s reported comments about amputees: “What @realdonaldtrump will never understand is that our Wounded Warriors earned their wounds. They are our badges of honor from our service to the country we love. If he can’t bear to witness those who have sacrificed for our nation, perhaps he should avert his cowardly eyes.”
Read between the lines. If tramp's life was on the line, he would sell out the US in a heart beat.
To tramp, only a loser would put their life on the line, for the US and it's people.

He is wrong about that.
Hubby and I attended the Invictus Games last year in Sydney. It is an international competition for wounded warriors and I was keen to be there. The US team was very competitive, as were all the other teams, big and small. None of them were losers because in reality they were competing against their own military service acquired disabilities. The applause from the audience for the last swimmer to touch the finish line was as great, or greater than it was for the first.
We saw the swimming finals and the wheelchair rugby semifinals. Those boys were anything but weak. It was a very thrilling spectacle.
Something is lacking in anyone who cannot see the beauty of the human spirit and who avoids looking upon some of the most courageous people on this planet.
