Churches pay no taxes. Yet, due to an exemption in the most recent PPP program Catholic Churches amassed over a billion dollars in taxpayer funds. Some of the churches that rec'd tax dollars were close to, or in, bankruptcy due to sexual abuse litigation. I guess I have difficulty understanding how tax exempt institutions can legally have taxpayer dollars dropped into their treasuries.
