First case with no known contact from overseas trump has appointed pence to control all messaging from Health Officials and to head the response to the virus. Pence has a very poor record with public health going back for years in his own state and has been an anti Obamacare advocate since Obama first signed it into law. trump is attempting to only allow favorable information to be dispensed to prevent any problems with the stock market and unfavorable affect his chances negatively for reelection

Similar to Russian news agency Tass. Trump wants to control what is reported to the public. What don't his base see that? I'm flabbergasted.

Trump closed 37 of the 47 pandemic operations, worldwide, initiated by Obama. Those operations were designed to assist in being the first line of defense to keep such pandemics from spreading across the globe. Pence put in charge of the U.S. response team. Tells Hannity that the U.S. is safe "due to Trump's decisive action". Trump says coronavirus will "disappear like a miracle". Why should it take the loss of innocent lives in a pandemic for folks to see just how incompetent the administration is? Of course... a third of the nation is so blinded by their worship of Trump, as they draw their last raspy breath after contacting the coronavirus, they will still blame Obama.

So what is everyone here doing to protect themselves if there is a big outbreak? Have you thought about it?

Be sure to have at least two weeks nonperishable food on hand as well as enough of your prescription meds to last 2 weeks. Have Gator AId or Pedialyte on hand.. and Tylenol or Ibuprofen for fever. Do not go to ER or the doctor is you have cold or flu symptoms to prevent spreading.. but of course if you are unable to breathe.. go. My own advise? have Netflix or some movies on hand.. and a few good books and plenty of alcohol...

....same as Suds, staying home, avoiding crowds, I've started using the order and pick-up service for groceries so that will help and I always keep at least 2 weeks worth of groceries...yes I've thought about it, I worry more for my family because they have to go to work and have school age children.

I work at a casino so can't stay home. We have many Asian card players, so that is a concern. Fortunately, I don't have direct contact with guests, but I do handle cash and chips in my job. I use a lot of hand sanitizer because money is loaded with germs. You wouldn't believe where people carry their money.

A second case in California, ninety miles from the first.... A second case of coronavirus found through spread in California Source: Washington Post California has a second case of community transmission of the coronavirus, a 65-year-old resident of Santa Clara County who has no known history of travel to countries hit hard by the outbreak, people familiar with the case said Friday. There is also no apparent connection between the new patient and anyone else with the disease caused by the virus, covid-19. On Wednesday, health authorities revealed the nation’s first case of community transmission, a woman in Solano County, California, about 90 miles away. That means the virus appears to be spreading among at least two separate populations, according to people who spoke on condition of anonymity because the information has not been released publicly. Two separate cases of community transmission likely means that there are others in the United States, said Jennifer Nuzzo, senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security. Ha! I'm about to walk through the main airport in Bangkok. Temps will be taken. Got lots of hand gel and I will try to keep my hands off my face. On Sunday night we'll go through Dubai Airport - massive.
I will not wear a face mask as they are useless.
