So there is a pet forum here, good. I've been using Grape seed extract for going on 25 yrs and I have the most healthy, pink, tight gums one can have and I'm 81. I was told over 30 yrs ago I had some deep pockets but they never got worse and totally healed with Grape Seed Extract, Now for the animals: www.fitopets.com/eng/blog/how-to-prevent-and-treat-gum-disease-in-cats-and-dogs/Reading this I see they talk more about GrapeFRUIT Seed Extract which is only an anti viral as far as I know. GrapeSEED Extract is anti viral, anti bacterial, anti fungal. This is what I've been taking for many yrs and have kept my gums so healthy. I will post more on antioxidants for cats, dogs and horses.

I'm considering a more balanced diet for my elder mules. Beet pulp and some mineral licks with more vitamins. One mule is 35 yrs old. His teeth are quite worn but he is in good shape, this year is the first year that maintaining his weight has been an issue.
