The moment the so called religious right winked and smiled at the GOP I sent up flares warning of corruption and pure evil.
I was told we can't judge another for their religion and blah, blah, blah, etc.
The marriage of religion and politics can destroy a country faster than war. Dictators know this and bank on it. They will use whatever they can to gain control over the masses, turn the people against each other, divide and...that's all folks!

They say they are. They believe they are. Therefore they are. You are what you believe.
I don't believe they are even decent people much less the party of the Creator.
They also believe their God chose this despicable human being to usher in a new heaven and a new earth. That's a little scary when you think about it. There are people out there, way out there, that are looking forward to the destruction of planet Earth. Watching and waiting for it to happen.
Excited and happy that the monster in the WH could be the one responsible for it.

I am reminded of one of the Star Trek movies, The Final Frontier (1989), where the crew travel to the edge (or centre?} of the Universe in search of God. Here they encounter a powerful entity that demands the Enterprise. Kirk's response is "What does God want with a space ship?"
It is a fair question and equally fair is "What does God want with a political party?", especially a craven one that seems to have abandoned its principles.
