CHAPTER 7
As the scene ended, the extras in their zombie costumes began to emerge, and the other cast members retired to their dressing rooms Sandy Hills (playing the role of Barbara) let her mind switch from playing "undead" to her real life of two teenagers on their way home from school, her Black Lab, and her unfaithful husband.
She started thinking that her life wasn't all that bad and even managed to crack a half smile musing about it until she picked up a copy of The National Enquirer only to read that they were reporting that she was carrying the love child of her co-star Duane (the Rock) Johnson and boasting of exclusive pictures in the article.
The truth, she knew, was that she had never been intimate with Johnson and, if pregnant, the only person to have possibly fathered the child was now occupying a very high elected office.

Yes the fond memories of that night with the Pope and still the mystery of, since it was pitch black in the narthex, was that really "Holy Water" that kept drip... drip... drip... dripping from above.

Both kids were in their rooms with homework, her husband was working late... or was using that excuse to spend "overtime" with his secretary... so with the dog by her side she looked through the peephole in the entrance door.

Her thoughts now turned to those of confession and absolution and was wondering if her affair with the Pope was all worth it now leading to a life of secrecy and denial should any of her sordid past be discovered and brought to light.
Yes the fond memories of that night with the Pope and still the mystery of, since it was pitch black in the narthex, was that really "Holy Water" that kept drip... drip... drip... dripping from above.
As she was wondering, there was a sudden knock at the door that had an unholy sense of urgency about it.
Both kids were in their rooms with homework, her husband was working late... or was using that excuse to spend "overtime" with his secretary... so with the dog by her side she looked through the peephole in the entrance door.

As the couple continued venting their angst at each other 'The Rock' was beginning to slowly rise from the floor, shaking his head to clear the fog, and the look in his eyes evidenced that someone was about to be body-slammed to a floor that did not have the cushioning effect of a mat in the wrestling ring.
