Improved quite a bit yesterday. Finally got some Paxlovid and began taking that. Leaves a terrible taste in your mouth!! Doctor's office said if symptoms are gone in 5 days from the onset, I can leave the house... if I wear a mask for the next 5 days. Just been sleeping and eating the days away. Almost ran us out of Kleenex from this runny nose. DayQuil/NyQuil has helped. Actually... just like a really bad Summer cold.

I can't keep up with you 2old lol. I thought you put out a challenge in the "use this word" game!! Had a good day, yesterday. Spent 6 hours on a 96" Jacobson mower at the golf course. Hired a new person to fill out the crew. Think we solved a valving issue in the irrigation system that had been bugging us for months. Couldn't just sit and nap when I got home. Some lady from "Down Under" tossed out a challenge and I had to meet it!!!

It’s a pity I can’t post a few photos of Aussie land I took during our 2400 km ..which I believe is about 1490 miles trip from home in South Australia to Queensland area that’s known as the Gold Coast, about 50 km south of the huge city of Brisbane Qld . We arrived in sunny QLD last Monday after a very long trip and driving on average 700~ 800 km a day. We stopped twice at accommodation for 2 nights and one night in the Gold Coast before heading to our accommodation for a whole month in the Sunshine Coast where it’s nice a sunny / warm spring like weather for MID WINTER as we are in …. …24c+ here…. where at home in South Aust it’s around 13c . We would have our slow combustion stove burning if we were home. I’ve given up trying to post any photos cause no mater how much I resize photos the system says nah to big ….

Pleased to read Dusty that you and the hubs made it safe and sound to Qld. 700 to 800 km a day is too big of a haul for us these days with the van on the back. Enjoy your month away.

Yep it’s a long haul joybelle we only ever did around 500 a day if we had a planned destination when we were living in-the van of course we were both much younger then ..that’s 16 + years ago. The price and the quality of the accommodation along the way this trip is outrages …$130+ for a motel room and very questionable on the cleanliness and quality ….. luckily I had a spay can of glen 20 spray and antibacterial wipes. One motel had a dirty used sheet for the top sheet ( they got a negative one star review from me stating just that) so this is a whole new experience for us staying in motels ,we either booked a flight or had the caravan in the past. I read reviews before booking anything …..but I don’t know if they are real or not ….got my doubts about reviews ……. or the tenants are not as particular with cleanness as we are especially with things as they are with Covid

ALWAYS had a can of Lysol with me. When I would walk into a hotel room I sprayed everything... pillows, side tables, entire bathroom, etc. Went through a lot of cans, but it was habit. When traveling today, wife and I both have a can of Lysol in our luggage.

Well they can be a bit backwards in Qld. Yep don’t know what Fritz is ..don’t know what a pastie is …I don’t know bit behind the times up here And you know what …….I tried to get a script for BP pills and the chemist said NO interstate scrips thanks cause we don’t know if it’s really you ….. or a fake script ..WHAT ……. I’ve got a drivers licence with my ugly mush on it to prove who I’m. I found another chemist who was happy to fill my script

I certainly know what Fritz and a pastie are lol.
How incredibly strange about the chemist refusing to fill out the script. I think he/she needs to be re-educated and ask for identification.
Years back I was in a fish/seafood outlet in Townsville. I couldn't see any fresh fish, it was all frozen. I asked if they had any fresh fish. The woman who was serving said it is all fresh. I said no - they are frozen not fresh. She argued the point that even though they are frozen they are fresh and not off. She said when the boat comes in they freeze most of the fish, so of course they are fresh. I thought just let it go.
