Thanks Dusty. We go into stage 3 on Thursday. Stage 4 is the metro area only. The rest of the state will be 3. I think we can go to our holiday block but I need to check that one out. Last time we could as long as we stayed on the block. We can go fishing this time so a trip to the Lower Glenelg would be in order if we decide to go to the block. We have put ourselves into self imposed isolation for quite a time. Only going out when absolutely necessary. Being on 250 acres we are fortunate in being able to move around and basically do what we want.

Take care ..it’s a nasty shock to all of us that don’t even live in Victoria ....I really feel for small businesses as well , it will push some out of business and onto the unemployment benefits

We are fine Dusty. The 250 acres keep us out of trouble. 26 active cases in Ballarat so I am now food shopping either in Beaufort or Ararat. No cases in Ararat or Beaufort. We do need to do a Ballarat trip tomorrow to pick up a mower. Paul needs new slippers and I would like a preserving funnel. We will be at Big W when the doors open and it will be in and out. Then home James. I won't needed to do any food shopping this week because we have plenty. We take all of the precautions. No visitors up here and we don't visit anyone. Just not worth the risk. What about your trip to Queensland? I can't see that coming off can you? Too many closed borders.

We are staying home joybelle we was looking forward to going up there from next week for 6 weeks to “thaw out “ from our freezing winter. Think it will be awhile before you get up to see your grandchildren again. We are not even going back to dancing till next year despite it starting up about two weeks ago ,I’ve got that way now I’m uncomfortable in crowds and the dance would have about 60 there so we’d be in a hall for 4 hours with that many when you don’t know who they have been in contact with it where they have been......kinda scary better to be safe than sorry My preserving funnel would be 40+ years old it’s a old Aluminium one ..Peach and Nectarine trees have blossoms on them so hopefully lots of fruit this summer.

Unfortunately I think you are right about us not seeing the grandies for a time. Maybe not even next year.
I wouldn't be going dancing either. 60 people in such a small area is far too scary for me as well.

Has anyone seen highlandannie around? I miss her posts. Hope she's feeling okay. This has been a rough year for her. Hi all. I'm still around. Yes, I've been having a hard time. No idea when I can safely go to the US to have my son's memorial. Fighting with my ex DIL who is turning my oldest granddaughter against me. Sigh. Tues was my son's birthday.
Anyway, I've been obsessed with the upcoming election and been on Twitter a lot as well as FB. And watching too much news.
Aug 3rd I crashed my bicycle and seriously hurt my side and back. Went to hospital and they just gave me drugs (codeine), and said I didn't break ribs. So it's been pure hell. 5 weeks Monday and I'm to the point where I'm very sore (instead of feeling I'm being stabbed or been beaten with a sledgehammer). So I'm able to shower without help, load dishwasher and do easy chores. Still having a hard time sleeping comfortably.
Had zero exercise but am going to walk down to friends house tomorrow (3/4 mile) for a garden party with just 4 of us.
Discovered we won't be allowed to go to Thailand this winter (which I REALLY need).
Sorry you asked how I was???

Certainly NOT "sorry we asked"! Didn't realize so much was going on. It's seemed as if TRF has become a large "family" and we were worried about one of our family members. Evidently, we need to see more photos of your feet... with a strong drink in the foreground!!! :>) My 'boring existence in retirement' has been totally shaken up with this current political situation. Spending way too much time worrying about the next 24 hours... the next 60 days... the next 4 years. Spending way too much time worrying about the future we will leave for our grandkids and greatgrandkids. Makes one fell awfully helpless. So, can understand your angst. Hope you recover from the bumps and bruises!!!!!

Hope you recover from the bumps and bruises!!!!! Thanks. I just sort of drifted especially after my injury. Worst pain I've ever had in my entire life!! I could barely move without screaming for the first couple of weeks! No feet at the beach photos this year. Looks like we'll have to stick out a cold, dark, windy, wet Scottish winter this year! Haven't done that since 2013.

It's good to hear from you highlandannie. You have had more than your share of problems this year. It seems like 2020 is a bummer for almost everyone. Hope you heal quickly from your bike accident. It's difficult to follow the news for me lately with an unstable idiot in the White House. I still can't imagine how anyone with a working brain can vote for him. Just found out my jigsaw puzzle partner and neighbor's 2 daughters and their husbands voted Republican in 2016 and plan to vote for that idiot again. I told her, "I'm sorry you told me that." She went on to say that they are intelligent, blah, blah, blah. (But they are very religious.) Sigh! Enjoy your garden party.
