the filmmaker is making a new film about trump.he thinks trump is an "evil genius" who is s master of deception and false statements and that there is a method behind his madness.i don't know if i buy that but there's something going on that is unprecedented . republicans and the less informed love to buy what he's selling.moore thinks that trump will be a two-termer because of this a lot has been said about trump's distasteful past, both in business and in life, but nothing seems to be sticking.maybe the america we've grown up in and become accustomed too is gone and our government has to reflect that or your sure to get all kinds of demagogues and flim- flam men running things in the future

I read an article mentioning Moore's new film. I hope hope is wrong, but my whole world view has changed since the election, I was blind-sided by how strong
the forces of evil really are. The [corporate owned] network news mis-represented everything, leading Democrats to believe that the Republicans were so weak
and disorganized.
Then it was "SURPRISE"...the orange haired angel of hell is POTUS!

I'm not sure I buy what Moore is selling. I don't think trump is an "evil genius" - most definitely. Given his past history he has more failures than successes and his term in his various attempts isn't that long. I don't think he is any type of genius. I think he's escaped the consequences of his behavior so far because the GOP and the evangelicals are shielding him to get their agendas instituted. There's al;so the possibility that Moore is doing a little bit of rabble rousing to sell his movie.

..ah, yes, Hillary and the 'the lesser of two evils' thing.
There is no way Hillary would separate children from their parents for an indefinite time. Chop up and/or do away with Obamacare Do away with our environment regulations Underfund science cozy up to Putin while bashing our long term allies Spend three fourths of her time playing golf and the other fourth on twitter with the flavor of the day tweet. Nor would there be 7 or 8 in her administration that pleaded guilty to crimes.

A Hillary win would have been a disaster for the progressive movement. I am glad Trump won.
The last thing I would want is some corrupt right wing corporate sell out warmonger as the face of the "left".

And they are still severely underestimating him.

Toby, Are you sure you're not a closet republican/trumpster? You people need to wake up and smell the coffee. 100% of the Republicans and about 80% of the Democrats, of which Bill and Hillary Clinton were among the worst, are working for the ruling class and don't give a d*mn about you or I.
You need to get behind the Democratic Socialist movement. That's the only thing that's going to save this country.

No - I don't. I also have an opinion and it doesn't completely agree with yours. I do agree with some parts - e.g. single payer medical care, but the problem is much bigger and more complex than the political parties - and a third political party isn't going to single handedly solve the problem. They will be just as vulnerable to the many corrupting influences as the current two. I don't pretend to know what or if there is a solution to what has happened to this country. There have been many changes since I first made my appearance in this world - some good - some not so good, but we still have the "Robber Barons" running this country. They don't call them that any more, but people like the Kochs are pulling the strings. Their manipulations definitely have a trickle down effect on every aspect of our society - from health care to religion.

Of course the Democratic Socialists will be subject to corruption just like the two main parties we have now. It's human nature, as Orwell described in his book "Animal Farm". "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely." But it takes a while to get to that point. So once they get into power they will have to be watched and at some point probably overthrown. But right now the Republicans and the Democrats are way past that point. Neither of those parties can be fixed.
Single Payer will never happen under the Republicans, nor will it happen under the Democrats. Both of these parties have sold their souls to the "Robber Barrons".
