Bernie or Bust.
Although I would make an exception for Biden.
I like uncle Joe. He reminds me of me.

I'm an atheist dude. That "Son of God" thing wouldn't work with me. The only way Jesus could get my vote would be to embrace a full on Bernie Sanders Socialist Agenda. It's a shame that you can't recognize an ally, Jesus is the original socialist. Socialism is Practical Christianity (Written for the People's National Party—P. N. P.-of Jamaica, 1965) By Bertell Ollman
Is this true? Listen to the words of Jesus and decide for yourselves whether Socialism is Practical Christianity.
SOCIALISM MEANS BROTHERHOOD:
"all ye are brethren." (Matthew"23;8)
"Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."(Matthew: 22; 39)
"All things whatsoever you would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them." (Matthew: 7; 12)
"Let everyone who possesses two shirts share with him who has none, and let him who has food do likewise." (Luke: 3; 11)
"Give to every man that asketh of thee." (Luke: 6; 30)
SOCIALISM MEANS JUSTICE:
"Give and it shall be given unto you...for with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." (Luke: 6; 38)
SOCIALISM MEANS BEING FOR POOR PEOPLE AND AGAINST THEIR OPPRESSORS:
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor...to preach deliverance to the captives." (Luke: 4; 18)
SOCIALISM MEANS OPPOSITION TO THE GREEDY RICH:
"Woe unto you that are rich, for ye have received your consolation."(Luke: 6; 24).
"No man can serve two mastersYe cannot serve God and mammon." (Matthew: 6; 24)
"It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."(Matthew: 19; 23)
SOCIALISM MEANS CHRISTIAN CONCERN FOR SOCIAL PROBLEMS:
Jesus' life, as well as his teachings, was a model of concern for his fellow human beings. Though poor in material things, he and his disciples shared what they had with all about them. For centuries afterwards, those who called themselves Christians were most noteworthy for the cooperative fellowship that characterized the community in which Jesus lived. For these men, Christianity was a matter of making over their lives to bring the greatest good to mankind. So, too, for many of the early Christian missionaries who came to Jamaica. It was Churchmen like Knibb, Burchell and Sharpe who fought the planters and got slavery abolished. Land settlement to provide land for the freed slaves and public education for the children of the poor also came about through the efforts of these true Christians. George Williams Gordon and Bogle of St. Thomas were Churchmen who were willing to suffer martyrdom to improve the conditions of the people. SOCIALISM MEANS THE SOLUTION:
Then, as now, it was not possible to love God without loving one's fellow man, and putting this love into practice. In the modern period, unemployment and its accompanying ills have replaced slavery as the principal evil. Today in Jamaica no true Christian can remain indifferent while hundreds of thousands of his countrymen are ill-fed, badly housed, illiterate, and without proper medical care. Pained by the sight of so much suffering, many high minded Christians have turned to socialism as the solution. SOCIALISM MEANS AN END TO CAPITALIST INJUSTICE:
Capitalism, the system under which we are now living, may be described as a way of life in which, "One soweth, and another reapeth"(John: 4; 37). Well might we say to the wealthy few who own our large estates and factories what Jesus said to his disciples: "youreap that whereon ye bestowed no labor"(John: 4; 38). The capitalists cease from resting only to eat, while you cease from working only to rest, and eat only when you can. Do you believe that Jesus favored such injustice, he who said, "by their fruits ye shall know them"(Mathew: 7; 20)? The fruits of capitalism in Jamaica can be seen even by the blind; they are poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, crime, greed, and disease. Could the kind and loving Jesus have wanted us to live like this? SOCIALISM MEANS LIVING THE GOLDEN RULE:
Socialism is the exact opposite of capitalism. In socialism, every man carries an equal burden of work and shares equally in the good things that society has to offer. There is no poverty, because all the idle land and machines have been put to use to produce the things people want. Production is aimed at satisfying the needs of the masses rather than the profit interest of a few. There is no unemployment, because a plan has been created to put everyone to work. Illiteracy is soon abolished, and the diseases that plague people are reduced to the few for which advanced medicine has not found a cure. Each individual is given the chance of developing himself to the fullest, with everyone helping him in whatever way they can. The Golden Rule—"as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise"(Luke: 6; 31)—has become the rule which all men follow in their daily lives. SOCIALISM MEANS THE PEOPLE OWN THEIR COUNTRY:
The journey to socialism is long and hard; but Jesus never said Christianity was easy. The road to socialism passes by way of public ownership of large estates and factories, that is the replacement of private capitalists by the workers, the consumers, the local community, or the national Government. In this way people will own their places of work, either directly or through some body duly elected to represent them. If a man works on his own as a farmer or craftsman, he will continue to do so or become a member of a local cooperative. The choice is his, and, no matter what he chooses, socialism will bring him outstanding benefits in the way of a fair price for his products, security during ill health and old age, greatly improved educational, medical, recreational, and cultural facilities, and much else. Those who work for large firms and estates, on the other hand, will become the common owners of their enterprises. Throughout, cooperation, the brotherhood called for in Christ's teachings, is at the center of socialism, and it will be encouraged in all walks of life and by every possible means. SOCIALISM DOES NOT MEAN WHAT ITS ENEMIES SAYS IT DOES:
There are a few rich people in Jamaica who hate socialism, because it would take away their special privileges and make them our equals. These selfish men, who own the press and the radio, try to scare people by telling them lies about socialism. These are the "false prophets" of our day. Jesus, too, had put up with many lies told by those who disliked his teachings. Here are some of the worst lies you are likely to hear about socialism. Don't you be fooled.
It is a LIE that socialism is against Christianity. How can it be when socialism is Christianity put into practice? It is a LIE that people cannot worship freely in socialism. It is a LIE that socialism means cutting your goat or house in two and giving half to the government. It is a LIE that socialism means that the small farmer will have his land taken away from him. It is a LIE that socialism will make us all prisoners of the Russians or the Chinese or the Cubans. What nonsense, yet our capitalists are counting on you to believe it. SOCIALISM IS COMING—WITH YOUR HELP:
If, indeed, SOCIALISM IS PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY, it is the duty of every Christian to help bring it about as quickly as possible. Keep in mind—all that is needed to win a victory for EQUALITY and BROTHERHOOD is for enough of you, the people of Jamaica, to want it and to will it. In politics, as in religious matters, we have much to learn from Jesus' words:
"Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you"(Mathew: 7; 7).
Your children are depending on you. Don't fail them.
SOCIALISM IS PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY

SOCIALISM MEANS EQUALITY
SOCIALISM MEANS JUSTICE

Well, aside from nobody agreeing with your disdain for the Democrats or your unrelenting support for Bernie, I'd say that otherwise nobody else is sweating
the small stuff. Maybe oldmontana or knight would support your hatred for the Dems, I guess you can't always pick and choose who's on your side. As for Bernie, I've said it many times but I'll repeat it once again: I liked Bernie Sanders, and I think his heart is in the right place.
But, in my opinion I don't think that enough of the working class thinks that "free university" or healthcare-for-all would work. They just don't understand how all the fancy progressive programs would work, because too many of the working class are too used to being subservient to the wealthy. Trump was a goddam "reality star", for cryin; out loud. I can't blame the GOP for running a shmuck like that for office, the Democrats probably would have done the same, for the "name recognition".

Old saying "cut off your nose to spite your face" comes to mind here. Childish thinking for an intelligent adult.
For the record, Joe Biden will be 77 years old in 2020. In many people's minds, he will have aged out.

Harris and Booker would both make excellent Presidential material. I don't believe either is electable. Harris... Trump and company have already begun the "she's not a natural born citizen" narrative. They will sell this and, if she were to be elected, would stymie all things important while filing litigation that she is not "Constitutionally qualified". I do think she could be an really good choice for Vice President. Booker... Has some baggage and is a person of color. Trump has worked so hard to sow the seeds of racism and hate it would be difficult for Booker to overcome. So many Repubs constantly railed against Obama, not for the job he did but for the single reason he was black. If the person currently occupying the White House is still in office and runs again in 2020, his base will be energized. Millions of dollars will be behind his candidacy. Those millions will grow exponentially if the racists and white supremacists see a black man on the opposing ticket. That is not right. That is not fair. That is where our society has fallen. As much as Trump has disparaged the military, I sorta like a Biden/Harris ticket. Biden has the creds to bring active duty and veterans to the polls. Harris being "one heartbeat away" should frighten no one. In fact, if a Biden/Harris ticket could win I wouldn't mind Biden "retiring" after the first year or so and Harris ascending to the Presidency. She, then, could bring Booker on as her VP. Trump is hateful and a racist.... all he think about is self.... he not listen to any advice, not even coming from First Lady or his children... he is basically a white supremacist who sits his big butt in Oval Office...pretending to be POTUS.... and run to golf every weekend instead of do work!!!
Either one I could look into for being President.... either one would be able to lead... As you say also, VP Biden also could be a good fit for POTUS....
but, sadly for that matter compare to Trump..... My statue of Amitāyus, the Buddha of Light would make good POTUS.... at least.... no Twitter! By way How can Foolish Donkey say she not American-borne?? She born in Oakland California... on my test for citizenship... I THINK California means you are American!! This is a very sad time we live in.... with someone in the White House who clearly is mentally ill....and Congress who suppose to be oversight are letting him run wild. My further question to the Special Counsel would be, "Did Trump promise them money to look other way??" After all, He try to push judge through who most likely will give Trump a "Get out of Jail Free Card"

www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/09/07/kavanaugh-avoids-dem-traps-as-chaotic-hearing-winds-down-confirmation-vote-looms.htmlKavanaugh avoids Dem traps as chaotic hearing winds down, confirmation vote looms Parts of the link.. Judge Brett Kavanaugh on Friday moved a step closer to being seated on the Supreme Court, as four days of chaotic and tumultuous hearings wrapped with Kavanaugh largely having swatted away Democratic attempts to derail his nomination. Democrats spent the week trying to catch Kavanaugh in a lie and employ old emails to cast him as a radical conservative. But Republicans say they believe Democrats failed to land a fatal blow. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said he had no doubts “whatsoever” that Kavanaugh would ultimately be confirmed. Democrats were always going to have a tough time defeating Kavanaugh. But with Republicans enjoying only a 51-49 majority, a couple defections would be enough to stall his confirmation. But Republicans have held together and accused Democrats -- under pressure from their base, and some flirting with a presidential bid -- of turning the hearings into a "circus." Among the most bizarre turn of events at Kavanaugh’s hearing was when Democratic Sen. Cory Booker on Thursday vowed to publicly release past emails of Kavanaugh’s that were marked confidential in an act of “civil disobedience.” Booker, a possible 2020 presidential candidate, said he was prepared to face punishment for doing so. He said he was doing so draw attention to Republicans’ “sham process.” “This is about the closest I'll probably ever have in my life to an, ‘I am Spartacus’ moment,” Booker said Thursday. But Booker didn’t actually break the rules with that release. The Republicans on the Judiciary Committee said they worked with the George W. Bush library and the Justice Department overnight to clear the emails. The restrictions were waived early Thursday morning. In an another combative moment, Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., another possible Democratic presidential candidate, on Wednesday asked Kavanaugh whether he ever had discussed Special Counsel Robert Mueller or his Russia probe with anyone at Kasowitz Benson Torres, the law firm founded by Marc Kasowitz, a former personal attorney to President Trump. “I don’t recall any conversations of that kind with anyone at that law firm… I haven’t had any inappropriate conversations about that investigation with anyone,” Kavanaugh said Thursday, when given the chance to elaborate on Harris' question from a day earlier. He added, “I’ve never given anyone any hints, forecasts, previews, winks, nothing about my view as a judge or how I would rule as a judge on that or anything related to that.” =========================================== And the Democrats tried their best trying to put words in his mouth but it did not work. That said this drilling is SOP for all Supreme Court hearings.

Trump and company have already begun the "she's not a natural born citizen" narrative. Anyone buying this line would have to be mentally stunted by inbreeding, and live in some internet deprived area deep in West Virginia or Kentucky.
Last time I checked, Oakland, California was well within the borders and is part of the United States.

All 5 of the links are well over two years old, got something a little more relevant to the 2020 election? Bernie's not running, he'll be 178 opps I mean "just 78" in 2020- so might have to think past that.
