Good afternoon to all- Have you ever had an old knitted sweater that started to come apart? First there's one thread loose, and then another, and before you know it, the whole sweater has come apart and is no longer a sweater- just old, worn-out thread. I do believe we may be seeing the start of the final unraveling of the tRump band of thugs. When thieves start fighting among themselves and when thugs start saving their own sorry asses by nailing other thugs, things can happen very fast. We're seeing this falling apart of the tRump structure now. Sessions will be fired, and I hope he does one good thing in his miserable little waste of a life and dumps on tRump. Kellyanne's husband is sniping at tRump. Giullianni is falling apart- he's more senile than tRump. tRumps lawyers and other staffers are telling the truth and leaving him fast. I do believe more vile and nasty tRump reports will be coming from the "Pecker" man- I will not dignify and falisify him by calling him a journalist- he's a fertilizer salesman.
I hope to be around to see tRump when he falls, and there's nothing in this world would make me happier than to see him wearing orange somewhere.
And as far as tRump's "supporters" and his"base" go- they are so far removed from reality that nothing that happens will ever bring them to realize just how vile and harmful tRump has been to all of us in the short time he has been in a foul-won position of power.
Keep the faith, and vote the bastards out- all of them with a big "R" behind their names at mid-term.
good evening to all- Ed

I believe that if Trump fired Sessions, it would be interpreted as a continuation of his efforts to defame and derail the Mueller investigation (in other words, obstruction of justice). He'd be a fool to do it, but he IS a fool. Either way, things are, as you say, unravelling.
This narcissistic, corrupt, vindictive, thug would look good in an orange jumpsuit (to match his ugly mug).

As long as the senate stays the same, I'm not counting on anything changing in the white house. I've gotten excited one too many times only to realize, nothing going to happen to Frump as long as his goons are in control.

I think the state of NY will do him and his family, the Trump Organization and the Trump Foundation in with the help of Cohen and now Weisselberg.. ...this will be devastating for all of them.....THEN... Mueller will step in and lower the big boom to finish him off...I think orange will suit him fine.

These words made me feel so good I keep on reading them over and over again. With a smile on my face too! Thanks again I needed that. lol.

My optimism does NOT shine quite as bright as some on here. This past couple of days has been extremely telling. It's pretty apparent that a significant number of Congressmen will support this guy for the duration of his term. Lindsay Graham said, yesterday, he wouldn't have any problem with Trump sacking Sessions... as long as he waited until after the November elections. Ryan won't say anything about censure of Trump. McConnell has disappeared. When Congress is scared of the rat, they won't work with the exterminator.
Let's say Trump does fire Sessions on November 7th, the day after the elections. Even if the Dems won a majority, the new members of Congress won't be sworn in until mid-January. Trump could name a successor to Sessions and McConnell could do his durndest to push the confirmation through before the new Congress was seated.
Again, the ONLY means of castrating this predator who seeks to become an equal to Putin is to work diligently towards gaining every possible Congressional seat we can. We MUST win the majority in one or both houses of Congress or this mess continues for another two years.

I have the same hope, 2old, but my optimism is failing fast. Maybe people will get out and vote even though the upcoming election is not to elect a President, but to get rid of evil in the White House. The recent election in my state had record voters for a primary. This gives me hope that they were voting "my" way.
I want t. wearing orange, too.

It is a stressful time, having a traitor and his goon-squad party in power. Trump cannot unilaterally declare Martial Law, but if he did, I doubt that the military would uphold such an illegal order. I am anxious for this to be "over", but I suspect that the process will be like cutting heads of the Hydra, where two will grow back when one is severed. It will take some time.

I agree with the unraveling but what we will be left with will be something more than old, worn-out thread. The country will be left with an extremely biased Supreme Court that will have lasting effect upon me, my children, my grandchildren, my great grandchildren, my great-great grandchildren and on. Yours, too.
Trump, Pence, Sessions, Ryan and McConnell will succeed in appointing, if not Brett Kavanaugh, then someone equally as biased. In a righteous world, Merrick Garland would have already been seated on the court.
As for Trump and his circle, our best hope for justice and retribution or punishment is the legal system of the state of New York. Presidential pardon powers do not extend to state legal systems. With one stroke of a pen, Trump or Pence or Ryan* can undo Mueller's work with pardons.
*Paul Ryan is 3rd in line for the office.

Yes, strange that Graham has done an about face, hasn't been all that long ago that he said there would be holly hell to pay if Trump fired Sessions...could it be that he is compromised? Who knows with this bunch..
