i read that trump is looking to prison reform.maybe he's planning for the future? No doubt Trump's vision of prison reform would be to build white collar prisons much closer to the better golf courses.

I hope that Mueller goes the subpoena route! It would be awesome to see Trump cornered like the rat he is.

And if he refuses to honor the subpoena? Wyatt Earp's long dead.

And if he refuses to honor the subpoena? Wyatt Earp's long dead. That will be interesting. President Clinton was subpoenaed over the Monica Lewinsky matter, but Clinton being a lawyer by profession complied. With Trump being arrogant and
ignorant, as well as generally in contempt of the investigation it may not go so smoothly.
Theoretically the Secret Service could arrest Trump, but perhaps the FBI would be the agency taking the lead, if Trump failed the respond to a supoena.

Theoretically the Secret Service could arrest Trump, but perhaps the FBI would be the agency taking the lead, if Trump failed the respond to a subpoena. And therein lies the crux of the conflict. Trump is aware of the FBI's position in this Machiavellian drama. The psycho-dynamics originate in Comey restarting the Hillary investigation just before the election. Then, Trump's embarrassing open display of affection for him on National television. (from the Washington Examiner) "Former FBI Director James Comey now says he tried to hide among the tall, blue curtains adorning a White House meeting room in an attempt to hide from President Trump at an Inauguration Day event. Comey said the incident was one example of what he believed were times Trump tried to create a public image that showed Comey was on his side. Comey described really not wanting to go to that meeting, for the same reason he later did not want to go to the private dinner with Trump: the FBI director should be always at arm's length from the President, in his view. There was an additional sensitivity here too, because many Democrats blamed Comey for Trump's election, so he didn't want any shows of closeness between the two that might reinforce a perception that he had put a thumb on the scale in Trump's favor. But, he also felt that he could not refuse a presidential invitation, particularly one that went out to a broad array of law enforcement leadership. So he went but he tried hard to blend into the background and avoid any one-on-one interaction. He was wearing a blue blazer and noticed that the drapes were blue. So he stood in the back, right in front of the drapes, hoping Trump wouldn't notice him camouflaged against the wall. Comey is standing about as far from Trump as it is physically possible to be in that room. Trump calls him over, shakes hands, and gives him a back pat and jokes, “He's become more famous than me.”
This incident, more than any other, turned Comey into Trump's nemesis and an American hero. We owe our possible salvation to Trump's stupidity and arrogance.

Hmmmm.... brings up an interesting scenario. Let's say the Mueller investigation and following indictments result in the impeachment of and order to remove Trump from office. The Secret Service and/or FBI would be charged with his physical removal should he resist. With the enraged base, highly populated by IWG's (Idiots With Guns) would we see an actual firefight as they attempt to keep him from being removed? Would Trump's constant denigration of the DOJ embolden his base to "protect" him at all costs? I have worries that nothing involving the Constitutional and/or legal removal of Trump from office will go well. The resulting chaos amongst his base will see innocents people lose their lives... just like a Third World dictatorship. IMHO, the ONLY way for the U.S. to rid itself of this scourge is to either have Trump resign or be defeated in the 2020 elections. The resignation won't happed due to the enormous ego. The chance of defeat at the polls in 2020 is too far off and results would be questioned for years after. We HAVE to turn at least one... hopefully both... houses of Congress in November. A Congress that would have the votes to deny or overturn the Trump ill-thought-out agenda issues will at least stymie some of the damage.

If congress can be turned in November...I think impeachment would be imminent. No matter how many guns can be arrayed by his base...they're no match for our federal troops who choked integration down their extremely angry throats many years ago.

Even when he is rejected by the voters in 2020,no matter the spread, it will be "fake news" and protested by the King and his subjects. No matter who the new President is we will be besieged with claims of illegitimacy.

Interesting comments on this....it's hard to predict how the loony tune will go down, this is another reason he keeps his crazies hyped up, lets hope there is evidence somewhere so shocking he'll resign rather than fight.

Full public disclosure of Trump's tax returns would have to force a resignation but I doubt Mueller can accomplish that. And honestly, did anyone ever expect him to submit to Mueller's questions? I never did. And if the GOP can get Kavanaugh onto the Supreme Court quickly, Trump will be home free.
