Bob, great hummingbird shots! Our feeders are just a few feet from the kitchen window, I'd like to set up a motion sensing camera that could take stills and videos and convey them wirelessly to my computer, or to the cloud storage.

Bob, great hummingbird shots! Our feeders are just a few feet from the kitchen window, I'd like to set up a motion sensing camera that could take stills and videos and convey them wirelessly to my computer, or to the cloud storage. Last night I tried two approaches. I did a handheld series of shots, but then set up a tripod on the deck. My camera has WiFi capability, so I connected it via the app on my iPhone, then came into the house and monitored the camera via my phone. When I saw the bird approach, I started firing the camera and a video via the app. Worked like a charm and since I wasn't out there, the bird seemed a bit more relaxed around the feeder. Got some great shots.

Love the pics. That's one of the things I miss living in a condo and not a house. Always looked forward to them.

Love the pics. That's one of the things I miss living in a condo and not a house. Always looked forward to them. I take great pleasure in watching all the birds at my various feeders. My wife teases me about how much time/money I devote to them, but they're fun to watch and I've heard it can even help lower BP! Something calming about watching birds interact.

I felt the same way Bob. It always made me feel calmer as I watched them. I felt myself slowing down for awhile.
