Now if anyone doesn't think our CinC has been compromised by Russia.... I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'll sell to you....
this is more fantastic to even dream that an American President would ACTUALLY consider doing this.... much less gutless Republicans backing him up..... I just can't even imagine.... those of us in the IC are just dumbfounded.....

Just the thought makes me shake.... I have never in my entire career have felt so vulnerable as I do at this moment.... it is like... what's next? Ziyi mentioned in a thread about nuclear codes being handed over.... well..... maybe that's not far-fetched as it sounds.... As a psychologist.... I am finding this whole issue surreal.... It seems almost dreamlike.... yet it is real and happening... Many of my staff are looking at one another and saying WTF???
Yes..... we live in a strange new perversion of government.... where the members of the IC are branded as the enemy one minute and praised in the next..... the former DNI , DCIA and FBI directors are "lowlifes".... the free press is called the enemy of the people and the world's most ruthless dictator, former KGB officer and FSB chief.... of all people......is welcomed as a buddy and slapped on the back.... but ahh.... just remember everyone.... There was no collusion!!!
right........ and my code name is Minnie Mouse oh yea.... and about that bridge in Brooklyn?? I'll sell it cheap!!
¡ay, Dios mío!

¡ay, Dios mío! I know what you mean.... There was time when citizens were arrested for cozying up to Russia,,, but now we have a President that is cozy with a leader who wants to go back in time, put up the iron curtain, and the President gets a free pass... Come election time I hope the entire GOP find themselves back in the public sector. I;m not all for a single politiacl system,, but todays GOP is a far cry from the former.

Good morning to all- Look my friends, there is no "low" that this tRump bast*rd won't sink to, and there is no "low" that his supporters and the GOP won't hop in and wallow around in with him. As long as tRump says he supports gun rights, elimnates legal abortions, says the right words about immigration... and isn't a women, he's home and dry.
Friends, there are a lot of weak, mean, aggressive nasty people yelling their sick opinions to the world at the top of their voices.
Just hang in and hope the election makes corrections starting this fall. Keep strong in the faith that we as a nation are not as bad as tRump and his minions make us appear.
good day to all- Ed

Republicans Block Move To Subpoena Interpreter From Trump-Putin Summit House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes led Republicans in a party line vote to table the motion. "WASHINGTON (AP) — Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee have blocked a move to subpoena the interpreter from the Helsinki summit to testify about the private talks between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The panel’s top Democrat, Rep. Adam Schiff, said Thursday he wanted the State Department interpreter to appear in closed session, saying Congress must “find out what was said” during the two-hour meeting. The California lawmaker says he realizes it’s an “extraordinary” step to subpoena the interpreter, but it’s also extraordinary for the president to meet alone with a U.S. adversary. Chairman Devin Nunes, also of California, led Republicans in a party line vote to table the motion. Nunes said a panel hearing on China was not an appropriate venue. The vote was 11-6." www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/republicans-block-move-to-subpoena-helsinki-summit-interpreter_us_5b50b75de4b0de86f48ac6d5 Adam Schiff: Dems wanted Russian agent Maria Butina to testify but GOPers refused... Adam Schiff: Dems wanted Russian agent Maria Butina to testify but GOPers refused because it would ‘tarnish the NRA’ DAVID EDWARDS 19 JUL 2018 AT 09:24 ET Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, said on Thursday that Democrats tried to call Russian agent Maria Butina to testify but Republicans refused because they worried that she would “tarnish the NRA.” During an interview on CNN, host Alisyn Camerota asked Schiff if he was aware that Butina tried to establish backchannel communications between then-candidate Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. “We certainly knew about her and part of the role she was playing we didn’t know whether she was an agent of a foreign power,” Schiff explained, adding that the committee had email correspondence that talked about “setting up a secret back channel through the NRA.” he continued. “When it got too hot, the Republican reaction was, ‘We don’t want to know. We’d rather not know.'” “But just to be clear,” Camerota pressed. “You’re saying that your Republican colleagues on the committee called her and said do not come in? How exactly did they block her sharing information with you?” Schiff replied: “During the course of time when they were actively in the investigation, the majority that is, we said let’s bring in Maria Butina, here are the reasons why we should hear from her, here are the reasons why we should hear from Paul Erickson who is alleged to have been involved in setting up this secret back channel.” more + video www.rawstory.com/2018/07/adam-schiff-dems-wanted-russian-agent-maria-butina-testify-gopers-refused-tarnish-nra/House GOP refuses to renew election security funding as Democrats fume over Russian interference Source: Washington Post House Republicans plan to vote Thursday on a spending bill that excludes new money for election security grants to states, provoking a furious reaction from Democrats amid a national controversy over Russian election interference. At issue is a grants program overseen by the federal Election Assistance Commission and aimed at helping states administer their elections and improve voting systems; Democrats want to continue grant funding through 2019, while Republicans say the program already has been fully funded. Republicans argued strenuously in floor debate Wednesday that states had plenty of money from prior congressional allocations to spend on election improvements. But Democrats accused the Republicans of abetting President Trump in his refusal to take a hard line against Russian President Vladimir Putin at this week’s summit in Helsinki. “The American people should be very worried about the commitment of this president and his Republican allies in Congress to securing our elections,” said Rep. David N. Cicilline (D-R.I.). “This is a party that has worked with this administration to undermine and minimize the investigation surrounding Russian interference in our presidential election.” Read more: www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/house-gop-refuses-to-renew-election-security-funding-as-democrats-fume-over-russian-meddling/2018/07/18/20761f88-8abb-11e8-8aea-86e88ae760d8_story.html?__twitter_impression=true&utm_term=.8bc137cba3e0

What is going on is just insane! You think it can't get any worse, and then you look at the news the next morning . . . .
I seriously don't want my grandchildren to grow up speaking Russian.
And for the prez to even momentarily consider the idea of letting Russians interrogate American officials (or ANY Americans, for that matter) makes my blood run cold.
