looking at Gowdy.. do you have to have bad hair to be a republican demagogue? It's not the bad hair that makes the demagogue, it's the toxicity inside the skull that actually affects the hair formation. Like trying to grow a flower garden on a toxic waste dump..

That was sickening to watch!
nkat Some of it was funny... like the a$$hat who claimed being a dentist made him an expert on body language..
All in all... I don't think the thugs got what they came for.. They did NOTHING to prove any of his actions affecting the investigations were affected by bias.

What a farce...the nerve of those Republicans daring to imply the FBI is biased. The hypocrites gave the most disgusting display of rabid partisanship I've ever had the misfortune to watch. This wasn't seeking truth; their 'attack dogs' wouldn't even let Strzok answer or clarify most of the time. This was nothing but a smear campaign, the 'end game' being to undermine the Mueller investigation and protect an evil, illegitimate POTUS. Putin must be having wet dreams over this!
My fantasy is to turn on the television one day and see Donnie Trump escorted out of the White House in handcuffs.

nkat It was indeed. I'm surprised I made it through, I guess I was holding on to hope of something redeeming to happen. I know, something is truly wrong with my psyche to have had any such hope. At least I know to reach for the remote and turn the channel immediately when Trump appears on the TV to give any type of address, speech, I haven't any expectations of the Liar and Thief.

Oh gawd, that was unbelievable as were of others who claimed their body reading gifts, but it was nice funnier when Strzok got in a little bit of a round about response about feeling like visiting the dentist and there were chuckles in the audience. I don't remember the name of the clown who kept acting like he was having a bunch of gotcha moments by asking if Mueller had inquired to Strzok's about his bias and text messages when Mueller, became aware of them. The clown kept asking questions alone that line. Finally Strozk, just said Mueller never asked any questions of him relating to the text to end the stupidity; eventually the clown eventually gave up, but he still had this look on his face like did you all hear this everyone, Mueller, didn't care that his people were biased and I just proved it, give me the gold prize now. UH, NOT! I'll see if I can find a clip, it was so silly. If anything all it did was prove this whole thing was all about getting at Mueller, not Strzok. I found the clip:

This is so blatantly corrupt, partisan, and evil...it positively makes a decent-minded person feel ill.

An interesting link to read regarding their impeachment tactics: www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2018/04/29/can-trump-allies-really-impeach-deputy-ag-rod-rosenstein/550442002/The Republicans who raised the specter of impeachment — including Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows and Rep. Jim Jordan — threatened a measure that the Constitution says is for "treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors." Their complaint against Rosenstein is that he has been too slow in producing documents they requested involving the Justice Department's Russia investigation and its inquiry into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server when she was secretary of State. "When you impeach an executive official, it's frankly branding them as a criminal," said Charles Tiefer, a law professor at the University of Baltimore. "It's not meant to use to go after officials who don't share your policy views or your political goals."

Some fine moments especially the medication punt.
I suggest skipping to 3:40 where it starts getting really bizarro
I had a time finding this one. The video QuickSiver referenced:

From Drifter's article......
If members of congressional committees believe Rosenstein or other executive branch officials are resisting their legitimate requests for information, the proper recourse is to issue a subpoena, then pursue a contempt of Congress case against them if they don't comply, Tiefer said.
To hold someone in contempt, a majority of committee members must vote for a contempt citation, which must then be approved by the full House. If approved, the contempt citation is referred to the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, who brings the case to a grand jury for action.
"A contempt case would end up in the courts where the House Republicans may well lose," Tiefer said. "Impeachment doesn't go to the courts."
"I don't think it will go anywhere," said Eric Herzik, chairman of the political science department at the University of Nevada-Reno. "I don't think leadership will ever bring it to the House floor."
....so it sounds like just a few running their mouths.

From what I saw, Peter Strzok came across as strong and as straight as James Comey. I hope history looks back on these times and sings their praises as patriots and men of principle.

....I just read that many think the reasoning behind the impeaching of Rosenstein is to give Trump a good reason to fire him.....

....I just read that many think the reasoning behind the impeaching of Rosenstein is to give Trump a good reason to fire him..... He can't be fired if going through an impeachment. The Constitution requires a two thirds super majority to convict a person being impeached. I doubt they would get that.
