Nice pics rosa427 ! Looks like a nice area to camp. And, I like your tent! How was the weather? Thanks, the small blue tent, I loaned to the lady sitting seen in the picture, I camped in my bigger blue/white tent it's and instant tent too. goes up in a minute. The weather was great till just before we were to rise and pack up to leave Sunday morning. We were still resting/sleeping pretty good and the rains hit pretty hard. Everyone stayed nice and dry inside our tents and it was clear enough while we packed up to leave. Bad thing, closer to home, early evening, one of my camp buddies, her home was hit by a tornado. She sustained very light damages, but many in her area of Greensboro, NC weren't so lucky. It was like night and day in my area, I didn't feel much going on, but there were a lot of outages in my county. My friend and her dogs were a-o-k which. she had texted me some pics of what she saw on one block. We did have a funny incident at the campsite, the lady sitting in the chair called me over to ask if what she was looking at was a worm or what, me, being squeamish didn't really want to look, I detest looking at worms, but to appease her, I felt I had to look. Unfortunately it turned out to be an or what, a very tiny snake. I confirmed and went about my business while she and our other camp mate took care of the situation. I mean I know if pushed came to shove and I had to deal with it, I would but given the option, I will avoid at any chance. I am really good in serious emergencies, though I wasn't present for the one they did have on their hike, which was tended to by my campsite friend, the whole of the group were dispersed to about five campsites. One person fell face first during a hike, she had to go home early. Good thing my friend is a nurse practitioner. So much did take place, I don't often report all the details of every camp event, but this one did have more unexpected incidents than usual. We did end the last night together as all the ladies from each site gathered on one site by the fire, near a body of water, where we had a nice taco dinner and fun conversations

So sorry to hear about the tornado's and the damages in Greensboro. Good to hear your friend is okay and her dogs too.

Thanks for taking me camping with you, I have never been camping! NKat You're quite welcome. I'm going camping again this coming Sat, I'll take full pictures of the inside of my tent to show more of the sleeping set-up. I recently bought a really nice cot, that I will be putting one of my air mattresses on top of. I already tried it out and it's was like lying on a very comfortable bed. The double air-mattress was comfortable, but it was a pain to deflate, the cot and single level mattress are easier to deal with plus its better for getting up and down as it's more steady and I'm not rolling all over the place trying to find a way to get up without hurting my knees and back.

@rosa, well you're just having too-much-fun....glad to hear that! A cot and mattress sounds doable, would never want to sleep on the ground again, like when I was in scouts.
