The unanswered puzzle in my mind is how I missed highlighting the words in my last post!!!!

I left the question unanswered because I didn't want to cause any friction in the friendship.

Friction from rubbing two sticks together creates heat and has often been used to set kindling afire.

Kindling wood is hard to find in Minnesota under the piles of snow.

The blinding snow... a "white out"... caused major traffic accidents over the entire path of the storm.

The cause of the motor vehicle accident was blinding sunshine coming through the windscreen.

"Windscreen" is a term seldom used in the Americanization of English where, instead, we use "windshield".

If the Australians would consider the American use and spelling of the English language is the correct and proper use, we could all get along!! :>)

We all should consider that some players live in a different country and are using the English method of spelling. (Who cares if they add an unnecessary U here and there?)

The method of replacing an S with a Z does my head in more with the Americisation of the English spelling, but I can live with it, just lol.

Actually, my head spins with enjoyment realizing how different the same language is from one part of the world to another.
(Here in the U.S. we hear distinct differences in accents and colloquialisms. To visit with someone from Minnesota vs. someone from Mississippi, there is a significant difference in how they speak. We are told English is one of the most difficult languages to learn. In a second life, I might be an English teacher as the uses and spellings of that language really interest me. Also, we can see that someone on the other side of the world can be great people and good friends, even though we might not look, worship, have the same political opinions... or talk exactly the same.)

Immigration has strengthened Australia on the whole, with immigrates having different cultures, food, clothing and experiences that expand our gene pool and the way we see the world.

Immigration in the U.S. has become a hot political topic, never considering the health and welfare of those seeking asylum.

Unfortunately, some Australians seeking asylum in the U.S. think their spelling of English words is correct.
