Everything has been pretty busy since the beginning of December, so I took the day to just chill at home. I binge-watched the first season of the new Netflix series "You". Creepy... but good. I'll also probably play video games later with some friends.

Drove to the gas station for gas is all I did today, other then tend to the pea soup stirring every once in while ,while simmering all day with a ham bone in it. For relaxation just watched DIY videos on utube.

Went to the mall for cappuccinos and pick up some shopping. Lunch at home. Finished my book 'The President is Missing'. Watched the latest episode of Outlander while hubby went for a walk. Met up for dinner.

Busy day. We took off for a trip to our long time financial advisor to review where our long term plan stands in view of the new house and all the expenses associated with it. Great meeting! Gave me some peace of mind. Then it was off for a delicious lunch and the long trip back to Plymouth where we finalized the deal for my wife's new car. She's now the proud lessee of a 2018 Volvo XC60. Big grin on her face as I pulled into the driveway next to her as she sat in her new car. Nice to see that happy smile.

I spent a good part of today between my bed and bathroom, still not 100% since a bout with (apparent) food poisoning. Three days ago it was vomiting, profuse sweating, lightheadedness, weakness, etc. Today it is punishing my bowels. I remain lethargic but am eating, carefully, nothing spicy or with a lot of fibre.
I believe I contracted salmonella from some pre-packaged coleslaw from Belleisle Farms in New Brunswick. The timing fits, and the symptoms fit. I did some research and found that Canada issued a recall September 2018 for this exact same product from the same farm because of Listeria contamination. Seems someone isn't handling things cleanly enough. I reported my experience on-line, and the right Canadian authorities are looking into it and have asked me to save the remainder of the package contents for testing.
Food poisoning usually runs it's course in 5-7 days, so I should be back to normal soon.
