Also began binging "Gutsy" on Apple TV last night. This is Hillary and Chelsea Clinton interviewing gutsy women who have made a difference in lives. Eight episodes, each about an hour long. We've really enjoyed it. Chelsea is a very smart young lady who ages us as she is now a wife and mother. We remember her as the young girl during the Clinton years.

Went to a big flea market they have every weekend in a neighboring town with my hubby this morning. Then, went to lunch with a friend. This afternoon hubby & I drove around town (we live in a small town) in our golf cart just enjoying the nice day.

I got my 5th anti-virus jab earlier today (Moderna Bivalent). I've already got the chills/shivers, although the temperature in my apartment is 74F/23C. I'm starting to feel achy and generally yucky. Before bed tonight I'll take Tylenol and half a Zopiclone (sleeping pill), and tomorrow I'll do nothing but rest and take it easy.

Feel better soon formerlyme. We are going for our flu shot towards the end of the week. I went to the doctor today for my wellness visit since I haven't been to see her for over a year. Everything was good. Don't go back until April.

Thanks, Drifter! Glad you got an all-clear from your doctor. Flu shots won't be available here until later this month; I'll book mine a.s.a.p. after they've arrived.

Celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary today. Tomorrow a small dinner thrown by our dtr. Nkat AWESOME!!!! Takes commitment and work to make them last. 50 years!!! Half a century!! We celebrated our 56th in September. With folks living longer, we will see some 50+ marriages over the next few years. Then, we'll run through our generation. As the next few generations age, the length of marriages will decrease. Folks are waiting longer to get married. And, I don't think we're seeing the commitments we once did. Neither of my wife nor my parents made it this long. My Mom passed a month after they celebrated their 40th. Wife's Dad passed during their 30th year. Enjoy the next 50!!!!!

We went last Thursday for our covid and flu vaccines. It really kicked my butt. Just now starting to feel better. Just glad those 2 vaccines are out of the way. Pharmacist said they were told the covid vaccine will only have to be given once per year if you are up to date with all the boosters. That was good news to hear.

Drifter , perhaps getting the 2 vaccines together was 'double the trouble' in after-effects. Hope you feel totally 'back to normal' soon!

Drifter , perhaps getting the 2 vaccines together was 'double the trouble' in after-effects. Hope you feel totally 'back to normal' soon! Thank you! Probably, but I wanted to get them out of the way because I have so many things that still need done yet outdoors before the real snow flies. They say as long as you get each vaccine in a different arm, you can get them done at the same time. Instead of Moderna, they gave us Bivalent Pfizer vaccine. No swollen arms at the injection site, but had a fever, headache, fatigue, and some joint pain by the second day which lasted several days. Hubby has all that plus vomiting one evening. Previous flu vaccines never gave us any real side effects. Anyway, I'm feeling 100% better today. So is hubby. Was able to go for groceries etc., today. Felt good to get out and about this afternoon.

Pharmacist said they were told the covid vaccine will only have to be given once per year if you are up to date with all the boosters. That was good news to hear. Seems to be a mixed bag. We've had a couple friends who got the two vaccines together and it knocked their socks off. Others, not so much. Wife and I both got the flu vaccines a few days ago. Will get the boosters later this week. Early voting began yesterday. Hope to get there later today and vote.
