As I write this it's 28 F. Snow squalls are expected any time now. Temperature will fall to about 6 F by tomorrow, with a "feels like" temp of -10F. Basically, it's cold!

It's -8ºF so far this evening. It's a bitter cold with that wind whipping, making it feel like it's -32ºF. School's are also closed again tomorrow. Sure hope people brought their pets indoors!

The good thing about that temp is the sea and the pool are a perfect temp! Nice warm breezes as well.

On the whole Australia is sweltering. This was a few days ago but it has not cooled down very much since then.
Tasmania is on fire, north Queensland is being drowned in deluge rainfall, our biggest river system is drying up and fish are dying in their thousands and killing what life is left. Groups of wild horses, donkeys and even camels are being found dead in dried up creek beds.
In Victoria, coal fired power stations are failing in the heat but hey, situation normal. Not.
Our politicians still refuse to address CO2 causation of global warming and climate change. They also refuse to acknowledge that our water supplies along major rivers have been poorly managed with too much water being allocated to large scale cotton and rice production and too little to environmental flows and drinking water.

minus 2 degrees, with the wind chill,,, ready for it?,,,, minus 30. I can see our steam lines freezing up on us today. Work start time today,,, 9:30. Still suppose to be colder than a witch's tit with the windchill never getting warmer than minus 18.

Warrigal ~ Your situation sounds pretty bad. I hope it improves soon, if possible. It is -17F here right now and is predicted to go up to -4 this afternoon. Yesterday afternoon my new furnace stopped working. Ice was plugging up the vents to the furnace. Luckily, the repairman was able to come and unclog it. Guess I'll go and buy a space heater today in case it happens again.
