Been really grouchy, lately. Don't know whether it's an indication of old age finally setting in, or what. Just need someone to kick me in the rear and tell me to adjust my attitude.

You need a lot of butt kicking lately 2old ! Why be grouchy when you know you just have to get happy all over again! We have so much to be thankful for. Family. All our kids are on their first marriages and all doing well financially. Grandkids doing good. Home has been paid for for many years. No real financial issues...yet. We have our aches and pains, but are in so much better health than so many our age. Just seem to have lost patience with stupid people. And, it's not the younger generation. It's MY generation. In this red state, so many avid tRump supporters and MAGA cultists. Why? Have a former businessman running for our local school board. His entire campaign is wanting to "rid the schools of this LGBTQ disease". Wants to begin the Florida school library book banning. Control what teachers can say in the classroom. And... there is a good chance he'll be elected!! 30 rural hospitals in the western half of the state close to closing. People would have to drive hundreds of miles to their closest hospital. Why? Because we are one of ten states that our GOP legislature won't expand Medicaid. "People should be able to afford their own insurance and not depend on government handouts!" Sheesh! Tax dollars are paying for their insurance and salaries!!! Our golf course sits out in the county. It is not in the city limits. Within the past few months, the City has taken over building permits if the facility is connected to city water or sewer. We have city water in our clubhouse. So, our $250 County building permit turned into a $3,800 permit with the City. And, City code idiots have added almost $100,000 in costs to our facility that the County would not have required. Their tactics are making life difficult and I'm tired of it. The moment we have our occupancy permit in hand, I'll work nonstop visiting with our City Commissioners, Chamber of Commerce, etc. as we aren't the only businesses they are trying to break! We've had record heat. Cooled off a little this past few days. But, this coming Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday are all predicted to be in triple digits with 115+ head index. I'm about ready to pitch a tent in the backyard of a friend in rural Pennsylvania where I can cozy up with the black bears and other wildlife... and kiss civilization goodbye!! Yes! I'm grouchy!!!! :>)

2old Sorry to hear you are dealing with a lot of aggravation on different issues. I get it, dealing with stupid people. Those types of people are out of my life now, including anyone that supports the orange Cheeto or the GOP agenda. It makes life more tranquil. We only have one Republican in our inner circle but he now knows not to bring up politics in my presence because I cannot hold my tongue which shocked him! I feel I'm getting too old to hold back. We live in a red county, but one would never know it. It's rather peaceful here, living in a rural area. If something major happens, we all pull together to help another, regardless if you are a D or an R. It's great to go outdoors, to clear ones head and take in nature. I can always find something to do or watch. Sure beats being glued to TV or the internet and watching everything going on surrounding that vile orange Cheeto. My hope is that you'll be able to find calmness and put your happy face back on!

Had a great day. My daughter and her husband came over for lunch at my new apartment. They helped me figure out some computer problems. They showed me how to get on Roku with Passport from TPT (Twin Cities Public TV.)The weather is 74F and the windows are open. Unfortunately, weather will be in the 90s this week. It has been a good day. I'm happy.

It's 3:30 a.m. I'm awake. Mentally exhausted, but it's a good exhaustion. Catching up on a few of these Forum Games before breakfast and back to the golf course to enjoy another beautiful day. Life is good!!!

I'm having a good day. It's 76F and partly sunny. The leaves on the trees outside my windows are turning yellow. I'm settled in my apartment after 2 months. It's a good day. I feel cheerful also, formerlyme . By the way, my cat Ruby looks just like the cat in my avatar, except she has green eyes.

Probably starting a day of being grumpy. It's 4:30 a.m. Been up for an hour working on an agenda for tomorrow's project meeting. Too much time spent worrying about the mess we will be leaving our kids and grandkids due to the current political clime. And yet, have so much to be thankful for. Just need to clear the cobwebs and get on with life.
