I don't have my heart set on the -1 lb per week, if I'm just making 'some' progress or not gaining, I can be happy. Wife made chocolate chunk cookies today, ate 3 of them. Tomorrow's another day. It's never about what you do.........it's about what you do NEXT...True story! 8-)

Edit: I just recalled a "back-in-the-day" incident(mid 70s) with my first wife and her friend. We went to some gym in Long Beach,Ca., did some kind of workout that raised a sweat(Long Beach is very humid). We left, went to a nearby eatery and did an epic pig-out...complete with a chocolate syrup and whipped cream topped dessert( radiating fat grams and calories). That was it, so much for "working out" for the next 37 years.

I've been doing fitness walking for as long as I can remember.. Remember when Reagan was offering the "Presidential Fitness" awards? I earned the walking award for walking 250 miles in 16 weeks .. I still have it somewhere.. I'll have to post a pic.

Had a pretty good loss this week.. 1.4 pounds.. Still slower than I'd like, but at least I'm going in the right direction.. I think I've figured out what I've been doing wrong. I've been allowing myself one or two pig out days a week... so then I go up 3 or four pounds... and that gives me only 5 days to lose it plus more.. That is great for maintenance and once I reach my goal weight I can do the pig out days.. But for losing weight.. that doesn't work for me.. I have to stay the course.. I have 13 more pounds to lose... but only 5 pounds until I no longer have to pay Weight Watcher for the privilege of weighing me every week.

50milehikers.wordpress.com/2010/11/13/the-50-mile-hike-phenomenon/
A group of four of us tried it back when we were in High School. Two made it, and two dropped out at 40 miles. I was one of the drop outs.
I think I'll write up my best recollection of that and post it in the journals area.

It's likely not fat but water weight from salt.. but still it has to be lost.

Yeah, salt- I dodge salt like it was rat poison. Not just for weight, but trying to NOT have high blood pressure again.
I would dearly love to gobble a couple nicely grilled brats every so often, but at 800mg of sodium per brat, I'd have a hard time enjoying them. :-[

GEEEZUS... Up 4 pounds from yesterday morning.. Guess I over did last night's pig out. It's so disheartening.. it will take be 4 days to get back now and WW weigh in is 6 days away.. so my loss will likely be ounces not pounds if there even is a loss

Maybe QuickSilver the WW new points system isn't working for you like it should?

Maybe QuickSilver the WW new points system isn't working for you like it should? I'm certainly having a hard time with it. I can't wrap my head around ZERO point foods and not counting them.. It's an invitation to overeat IMO.
