Oh Drifter, I don't know what to say. Today marked seven weeks. She loved my music and I got nothing but encouraging words from her. She thought I should be a star, but that was never in the cards. All I ever wanted to do was write and play music. I sucked at promotion so I went from good times to homelessness and back, and repeat - only homeless once though. Bonnie didn't care about any of that. She just wanted to see me happy and I felt the same toward her. As traumatic as the loss is, I'm grateful for the seven years we had. I listened to this song and broke down. It's OK. It's a process and in some ways, I'm glad for the pain. It helps me understand how deeply I cared for her. I have learned through the years that the hard times are as important, if not more important than the good times. We learn more from the hard times. I have ups and downs but the trend is upward. I never loved anyone or anything as much, or in the same ways as I loved my Bonnie. I miss her terribly. This little gesture touched me deeply. Thank you so much for thinking of me.

Yes, I know Bonnie loved your music. That's why I don't want you to stop writing, playing and singing. Continue doing so for Bonnie! I'm sure that's what she would have wanted you to do, too. That song made me think of you and the love of your life, Bonnie. I picture her listening to you play and a huge smile overcoming her face. She knows music makes you happy and, it makes her happy, that you are happy. I know, my friend, how much you miss her. She'll always be in your heart, which will give you strength to continue going upwards.

Here's a song I wrote - dedicated to Drifter - because of the scenery as much as the song.

Spectacular scenery in that video, so serene...and the music did it justice! You did a nice job bringing it all together. Thank you notbob for sharing it...now I can dream about canoeing on the open water, or hiking, horseback riding through the valley. Or just sit for a while on one of the rock formations and gaze upon the waterfalls.
