The Man Called Red: An Autobiography of a Guide and Outfitter in Northern British Columbia
Interesting...about a man that left home as a teenager, all his adventures growing into a man that owned a ranch and a Hunting Guide business in northern Canada.

Started "Less" by Andrew Sean Greer. It won a Pulitzer Prize, promises to be hilarious & touching. 'Less' was very disappointing. I found it boring, and quit reading halfway through.
Now I'm reading 'The Ploughmen' by Kim Zupan. It is a much more engaging book.

Started reading a new book last night, "The End of the World Running Club" and I'm already hooked. Takes place in Scotland, following a series of asteroid strikes on Earth, as a man sets off to find his family in the aftermath. Since I was a young reader, this genre has always attracted my attention for some reason.

Last book I read: Stephen King's short story collection "Everything's Eventual". Was okay, not great.
Now I'm reading "A Game Of Thrones", first in George R.R. Martin's related 5-book series. Enjoying!

I'm just finishing Bill Bryson's AT HOME. I've been a fan of Bryson's travel books for a long time but this one is very different. He manages to make it both entertaining as well as educational. It was a little slow to get into but well worth the read if you have a curious mind.
I'm looking forward to his similar book about science: A SHORT HISTORY OF NEARLY EVERYTHING

I'm looking forward to his similar book about science: A SHORT HISTORY OF NEARLY EVERYTHING I read Bryson's "A Short History of Nearly Everything" and it's a fascinating book. Not all that humorous compared to others, but you will learn quite a bit about all kinds of science-related subjects, including the origin of the universe, more than you'd ever want to know about atomic particles, evolution, etc. Good stuff. He has a new book just out called "The Body: A Guide for Occupants".
