Carl died.. Will miss seeing him on the show... In a way, we watched a kid grow up.. Chandler will be off to college. Carl's death was easier to take, knowing that the actor was going forward with his life. Sasha's demise was sad to see, but again- knowing that Sonequa Martin-Green was going on to be a lead in Star Trek: Discovery made her departure less painful. I'm still very pi$$'d over the deaths of Glen and Abraham, the TWD writer's had better do 'the right thing" soon, and give Negan a good dose of Lucille goodness. Last week they teased the crap out of the fans, with Rick and Negan's afraid-to-hurt-each other battle. Recently read that TWD's season 8 finale and FTWD's 'crossover' season opener will be showing in movie theaters on April 15, the same night both episodes air on AMC. hollywoodreporter.com

I was watching Walking Dead earlier this evening, the episode was listed by DISH program guide as running for 2hr. 5 min. But, promptly at the one hour mark TWD did a disappearing act, and AMC's new program "The Terror" started airing. My post was something to do with that matter of them tricking me into thinking TWD was going to be on for two hours and that the new show was just going to have a long preview in the middle of airing. I didn't realize till too late the new show was going to actually be at least an hour long preview. AMC are players as they played us big time. I also had a few choice words for them in my disappearing post. Yea, that's getting really old. I used to be eager to see the latest episode of TWD, but ever since the Negan era began, I've been feeling played, and just wish they'd end the series. Apparently Morgan is going over to FTWD, maybe he'll help pump up their ratings. I 'kind of' like FTWD because it takes place in my neck-of-the-woods. But, that series is dragging too, maybe the whole zombie apocalypse theme is getting worn out. I guess I just want some resolution, some "closure"...some kind of definitive finale. Like, finding a cure for the infection, or survivors getting into an alien rescue spaceship or something.

Well Sunday night the Dish Net timer tuned in at the time slot formerly for TWD, now for the new FTWD episodes.
So Morgan has crossed over to FTWD. I like Morgan, he's been with TWD since S1 E1. It seemed to me that the writers never quite knew what to do with him. He would get spotlighted here and there but mainly was relegated to waiting-in-the-wings. I don't know what Morgan can bring to the table, to enhance viewer interest and ratings of Fear, I'd have to say that would be an uphill battle. FTWD is too disjointed and lacking direction, for my tastes. I only watched about 10 minutes, then went channel surfing.
I don't know if I'll bother with FTWD anymore...no so sure about TWD...I was hoping to see Negan's demise, but at the last minute they decided to keep him as a pet.
I deleted the timer.

After the season finale of TWD I didn't bother watching FTWD at all. With summer approaching, I wouldn't have time to dedicate watching another series.
I was kind of disappointed in the ending of TWD. The show has been dragging on and on. With deciding to put Negan in a holding cell and Maggie wanting to override the decision, it makes me wonder how this show can continue on, to hold viewers attention. IDK, maybe I'm getting bored with it since it's been on so many years.

O.K., I don't know what the writer's have in mind, but maybe I should contact them and just TELL THEM what will work to revitalize the series. 1. Let Maggie beat Negan into kitty litter with Lucille, like Negan did to Glen...people love to see proper retribution. 2. Let the walkers eat Eugene, I can't imagine any TWD fans actually liking him. 3. Take the entire cast and story and have them cross over and merge with Z Nation. Then they can all proceed to the last known functioning Centers for Disease Control research lab in California. Murphy can then have his zombie antibodies cultured into an antidote for the zombie virus, and everyone can live happily ever after. I don't really know what to do with FTWD, apparently the writer's don't know either.

I'm not a fan of FTWD,,,, too darn slow in the beginning and I lost interest... Then when I found out Morgan was going on FTWD I watched the first episode with him on the series... After that all the show did was bounce around.. BOORING!!!! I do like TWD,,, but it's more like survival from other living groups and little to do with " walker's " anymore. In all reality, the show could be set for any major disaster where no law any longer exists nor Government's. I do miss the old day when it was about surviving from the walking dead with some fighting other groups. But the Saviors was over the top taking too much time to get anywhere. Hopefully the writers get back on track and make it about survival from the walking dead. Up till Negan the show was pretty darn good, but they dragged that too long.. Not to mention all the darn commercials. That in it;s self makes it hard to sit thru an episode.

Andrew Lincoln (Rick) will be exiting The Walking Dead when the new season starts October 7th. When I first saw that, my reaction was "what?!?!?" But, you know Rick has been on a weird decline for a while, to where I don't really care what they do with him. Other the other hand, it seems like Maggie has been gaining in the leadership dept. Of course, Michonne is a strong-silent lady, maybe the writers will make the both of them lead characters like the Rick+Daryl bro thing. I do miss the old day when it was about surviving from the walking dead Yes, those seasons were the 'heyday' of the series, IMO.
One thing I think is important to fans: something bad needs to happen to Negan, for what he did to Glenn and Abraham.

Yes, they were saying this right after the end of last season that this would be Rick's end on the show. More recently, I've heard they could be messing with us, but, we'll see.

Nothing against Daryl, but he's always been the short-fused 'wingman' type, and just seems awkward to try and fit him in Rick's shoes.

Well I completely forgot that TWD season 9 was to begin last Sunday, Oct. 7. However, AMC aired "A New Beginning" in late afternoon then the current week's episode
"The Bridge". So, these two season 9 episodes are 18 months after the defeat of Negan, pleasing to me that the storyline has gotten "back on track", as I didn't care for
those seasons after the murder of Glenn and Abraham. Will be a short season, only eight episodes. If TWD could end without leaving loose ends, that would be fine with me.
Regarding FTWD: I frankly lost interest in that series, despite the crossover of Morgan.

I watched "A New Beginning" and "The Bridge" after 11 PM on those nights. The other programs I watched, had season finales during the regular TWD time line.
TWD is moving along, slowly. Interesting to see who is hooking up with whom though. Hoping this show picks up speed to keep my interest.

So far, TWD is just okay. If it doesn't pick up pace, I may just stop watching.
